Dick Kinzel Called John Mclure and told him to reinstate his pass immediatly. John told my friend that he did not want to do it but did not have a choice

That line just sounds fishy to me. I now think this story is made up. Something may of happen, but it didn't happen like he said it did I now think though the story is made up.

As far as the belt issue goes, the test seat at entrance has all the room in the world for you to move your legs anyway you want and position your body anyway. When you get on the ride, leg room (for a bigger person, tight) is the key to getting in the same type of position to get the belt closed and get that half inch.

That's a good point. I noticed (or maybe it has been there a while?) they put a new piece on the test seat - a plate out by the front of your feet, presumably to keep you from stretching your feet out and getting yourself flatter, making the belt easier to buckle.

I agree that the situation with the belts sucks. Someone at another park didn't do their job and now Cedar Point and its guests are suffering because of it. That's right - someone on Superman at Six Flags New England who was TOO BIG TO RIDE IN THE FIRST PLACE was allowed to ride and he FELL OUT AND DIED. I also agree that there are differences between the test seat and the train. There are also differences between different seats on the train. In general, I think it's easier to get the belt buckled when you are in the front of any car. Belts stretch with use. I know for a fact they are measured and swapped out as needed periodically. I think small differences are almost impossible to avoid.

I don't agree with you calling out that crew for not helping you with your belt when they are specifically trained not to help you buckle your belt. By many accounts, that crew on Millennium Force is the best they've had in several years and I hope they don't let things like your complaining and their short sighted, quick to cave management get them down. I'm sure they receive very little praise for the good work they are doing as it is and seeing Bob bring you up there as if they did something wrong in the first place is just an extra kick in the balls they don't need.

I for one have been very impressed by what I've seen out of that crew this year compared to the last few.

I personaly do not believe any of the story. I dont think its all that easy to get out of the seat on magnum or any other ride for that matter. The way he worded it was just plain messed up in the fact that he didnt include many facts.

He states first that all they did was stop the ride and check the lapbar and belt. Then he says that they let him ride then cp police were there. (Dont you think he would have been taken off right then and there?) He then said that the police were "claiming" that he was standing up on the ride. (which changed from the begining of the "story") My next problem with this "story" is he said that he was being removed for 2 reasons. One of which happened the day before. (im not sure how that all works but I doubt that they would kick you out of the park for something you did yesterday or any other day, Unless you have been warned. Plus this is nothing to sue over, nor do i see how its "discrimination". He never said why he thought it was discrimination except for the behavior.

I may be completely lost or i may be right on track. I just thought id throw in my 2 cents.

heh.. he called Matt Skinny. :p

believe the guy, although the ride ops said he was giving them "trouble" the day before.

I still side with him, an ejection at 11am is REDICULOUS as is taking his season pass.

That RARELY if EVER happens (an ejection before noon)

What is the significance of it happening at 11am?

there is RARELY an ejection that early. people go to CP to have fun, not to get kicked out.

to have an ejection that early, it has to be SERIOUS, and in my mind, that offense doesn't NEARLY warrant an ejection.

Haha. Someone clooossssseeeeee this already.

Unless your a local who visits CP all the time and breaks the rules because they think no one cares or doesn't notice. You commit a crime, it doesn't matter what time it is. I don't know how old these guys are but there are kids who walk around CP like they own it. Quote I have heard "what are they going to do , kick me out? whatever". And if someone says yes back to them, I'd like to see them try.

CP is a family park, not teen club or a bar where you can act like a jerk just because it's fun to piss people off. But like a bar or a club, you should expect to be bounced!!

If trying to stand on a ride (that isn't Mantis) isn't serious, I don't know what is. If this guy stood, he got what he deserved. The fact that he was an ass the day before might have attracted more attention to him, but I really doubt the people at Magnum shut down their ride just to get back at someone for wearing an offensive shirt. Don't flatter yourself like that. They're much more concerned with getting people on and off the ride quickly than "revenge." But if you're causing a safety problem, they have to stop the lift.

None of us even know the true offense. And if you think you do, I'd suggest re-reading the thread.

No. He said it was stopped on the lift. Too many things can go wrong with an evacuation on the lift, especially when its someone who has already been screwing around. You're better off double checking the restraints, stapling it as best you can and letting them finish the ride.

Oh, and CP can revoke your pass at any time at their discretion. They do not have to provide proof that you did anything. Having a season pass is a privilege, not a right.

Goodbye MrScott

John

But it's also a product that you paid for and you have certain rights to the services defined by fine print and such. The passes can't be revoked for just any reason and the reasons they can be revoked are clearly defined on the back of the pass.

Basically if you participate in "conduct detrimental to the park" (which includes "violation of park rules, safety procedures" [as stated on the pass]) they can revoke it.

They can't just walk up to you and say "Hey, give me your pass." There has to be a reason.

To the starter of the thread- Cedar Point DENIED you getting the pass back?! Is that what I read a few days ago? If so, thats unbelievable, usually you just call the season pass center and explain.

No he claimed that Dick Kinzle came and told them that he must get his season pass back. And many people and I dont belive that he would deal with a situation such as this.

He wouldn't. That part is BS. To the starter- you had a valid point, but why did you put facts that aren't true into your story? To try and make it sound better ?
