Here is a copy of the story sent to cedar point in an email. I am sorry I know many of you will not enjoy reading this, but I need to lay down the story for all to hear. And I know that i will get bashed for this post and it will get deleted. Cedar point was my favorite place on earth last week now I hate them. I post here often but registered a new name to remain anonoymos (sp?).

To whom it may concern:
I am writing you to let you know I am very upset because of an incident that occured last Wednesday involving my best friend joe shmo. He was riding Magnum XL, one of our favorite coasters, and his other friend Mike who doesn't get to the Point that often had forgotten he was wearing his glasses without a strap. joe shmo reached up to get the glasses from him going up the lift hill to place them in his pocket for safe keeping, and the ride ops stopped the ride on the lift hill and the ops checked Mike S's seatbelt and lapbar, and continued the ride.
Upon returning to the station, and exiting the ride, joe shmo. was greeted by CP Police and was told by a blonde lady to come with her. They took him down the employee exit and was told he was being removed from the park due to Brian (blonde one) on Magnum yesterday telling him to turn his shirt inside out and today he claimed he (joe) was standing up the ride. Long story short he was kicked out, made to put void stamps all over his wrists and hands, and told he was only kicked out for the day, and then after he proceeded to exit CP property, he was stopped and his pass was confiscated.
He spent over an hr in the CP police office (in the front parking lot) and got nowhere. He has spoken to John McClure Weds. evening and again on Friday morning to no avail. This is all a misunderstanding and should be cleared up immediately by simply viewing the ride security cameras. My friends and I are faithful and loyal Cedar Point guests... check out our pass usage... we spend tons in the arcade, and would never intentionally do anything to obstruct a ride.
I am miserable because my best friend and I cannot go to our favorite place on Earth. Joe shmo is purchasing a ticket to enter the park on Monday, and also would like to be reimbursed for this expense, since the problem could have been remedied last week, and the additional out of pocket expense avoided. joe was told he could not have his pass back yet, but if he wanted to go to the park, he could purchase a ticket.
joe and I are only asking for his pass to be returned quickly so that we can again enjoy ourselves at CP. I believe this incident is due partly to an employee (blonde Brian) on Magnum having a general dislike of our fun and jovial attitudes. We just come to the Point to have fun. Perhaps he is unhappy in his position and doesn't like to see people enjoying CP? We have no clue, but his miserable attitude toward us is ignored, and we don't let it ruin our good times!
I would appreciate a response as soon as possible. This is a time sensitive matter...as we cannot enjoy CP's coasters alone as much as we do as a team... half of my team doesn't have a pass right now. Should we not find a quick and feasible remedy to this situation, we will be further contacting the media and an attorney to inquire about any rights that CP employees/Police may have violated in detaining joe shmo. Please help us get it back. Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter. (end Email)
The names were changed to protect us
We received word today from the park that his pass was revoked and that he could not buy another one, John said these words I am quoting "I will check each week to make sure that you have not purchased a pass, and if you do I will void it."
I am never returning back to a cedar fair park again. I spent to much damn money in the park to be discriminated against. We have called a lawyer and we are filing suit at the end of the summer.
I know it makes you pissed to read this and you are most likely thinking that there has to be another side of the story, Well there is not. This is exactly the way it happened. I wish it did not occur but it did. I do not know what I am going to do without my rollercoasters.

A little piece of advice:
You should have found someone to proofread your email before you sent it.
Also, I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but unless you can prove the park discriminated against your friend on the basis of race, sex, religion, or any other protected status, the park can do whatever they want in regards to letting him visit the park.
My suggestion to you, if you are unhappy with the park, is probably just quit visiting. They are a big corporation, and your chances of winning against them are slim to none.

John McCain: The Ride
Being Mavericky since 2007!
Hmmm... If you are serious and being truthful, I wish you the best of luck. Although you better have a damn good lawyer.
your right, I am not sure if we have a case. I do not even want monetary gain, I just want Cedar point to come to its senses so I can be happy with them again, and my friend gets his pass back, and I do appreciate the positive response I did not think that I would get any.
I wish you luck, but I think there is another side of the story. I don't think Cedar Point will revoke your season pass because of this. Also, if you knew you were going to get bash for this why did you write this here? There is always two sides of the story, and I can't believe only one side of the story, I need to hear both. Plus, just imagine how many people has many people an employee deal with every day. I have to deal with the most stupidest people at my job, and sometimes can get a little upset, because the person is standing right next to a product and still needs help finding it. Also, why don't you send them a letter (which in this situation, I think will be better) then typing an E-mail. Also, you can try talking to mangement in person maybe. Sometimes if you talk to the right person and they see your face and emotions that they can't see in an letter or E-mail you just may get what you want.

I dont' understand how he "stood up" on the train? Could someone explain this better to me?

Sounds like a situation of dealing with the wrong people. Like MichiganState said, try contacting some people in higher management. I hope you and your friends can clear up this situation ASAP and enjoy the park for the rest of the season. Good luck!
To DrunkenMonkey, I think he means that when his friend reached for the sunglasses, the rideop thought he was standing up on the ride, rather than reaching to take the sunglasses.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
The row in front of him was being occupied by strangers so he had to reach to get the glasses, and I can see how a ride op would think he was horseplaying, but it should have been resolved when they realized it was a misunderstanding.
no, they were climbing the lift hill when he realized that his friend was still wearing the glasses his friend turned around and asked if he could put them in his cargo pocket since he(the one wearing the glasses) had a pair of jeans on. So he was leaning forward to reach the glass and they stopped the ride, because the ride op saw it on the camera.
This story is very confusing!!! It sounds like there was some serious horseplay going on, and these boys got kicked out.
joe shmo reached up to get the glasses from him going up the lift hill to place them in his pocket for safe keeping, and the ride ops stopped the ride on the lift hill and the ops checked Mike S's seatbelt and lapbar, and continued the ride.
Helping somone take their glasses off their head on the lift hill would not cause the ride to stop on the lift, and have the op's walk all the way up there to check someone's safety belt.
telling him to turn his shirt inside out
Being told to turn your shirt inside out is usually because of something offensive being displayed on the outside of the shirt.
today he claimed he (joe) was standing up the ride.
Was the guy "standing up the ride" or Standing up ON the ride?
I am very confused... please help me out on this, thank you!
so where was a row of strangers in front of you. and the row infront of the strangers WAS the guy with the glasses?-that turned around and gave the glasses to the person 2 rows back?-which had to lean forward to get them?

he was standing up on the ride. Sorry for the confusion, it was hard to type without being confusing. He has a shirt of questionable matter. We have been to the park over 100 times in the last 4 years and have never been told anything about the shirt. they added the shirt incident to the police report, it happened 2 days prior to the incident in question.

sorry but they WILL kick you out for that everytime they catch it. Plus since you already had a reputation they were watching you. While I think the end result was harsh, he did break the rules.

What they did, they did rightfully. The ride operator doesn't know who you may or may not know. Obviously, it was something significant enough that the operator believed that someone could have been put at risk, which would be a violation of state law.
The park has every right to revoke your pass if you have not followed a rule. The back of your pass says, and I quote:
The pass holder may be removed from the park and this pass may be revoked without refund for any conduct detrimental to the park including: ....violation of park rules, safety procedures...
This would include standing on rides and violating the park's dress code.
You are suppose to remain seated in an upright position while riding; thus leaning in any direction or standing to get something especially over more than 1 row, is a violation of park rules. As Avalanche Sam said, this will be a very difficult case to prove to be discrimination. It is completely understandable how a ride operator may have thought he was putting himself or others at risk; and if he was standing, he certainly was putting atleast himself at risk. Further more, the park has every right to ban you from the park; it's private property. People think the park won't do it, but I do indeed know someone who was banned from all Cedar Fair properties. He should consider himself lucky if he isn't prosecuted for a violation fo state law. Knowing the Chief of Poilce personally, I know that the park takes its rules very seriously.

If the story is true then hopefully Cedar Point gets what it deserves and forget the lawyer because that'll be rough, but a little negative media exposure could have some effect.
But, I'm curious about you and your friends because of the extreme reaction by Cedar Point. I wonder if you are leaving out details and I've seen the weird freaks with the inappropriate t-shirts who act like little assholes so if that's you I applaud Cedar Point for doing us all a service. But, I'm open to your story as well. ;)
Good luck.
Yes, Doctor Culex
This is in no way extreme. What the park did was completely right if he was standing on a ride. The recent dress code violation was only more reason for them to do what they did.

You have no case, and, most importantly, you have insignificant damages. The most you could ever be awarded would be the cost of the passes and that is less than the bill for one hour of good legal work or just the cost of filing the lawsuit.
However, the one thing that caught my eye was being "made to put void stamps on hands/wrists." If your friend was unwilling to do this and was forced to, that may be considered battery, but I'm not sure how everything actually happened.

I don't understand the confusion, then.
I know it sucks, but if he was standing up, then I can see why they did what they did.
If he wasn't really standing up, it sounds like someone was definitely being unreasonable. Usually that tends to happen if the volume of voices starts to escalate.
