See all of those questions, and even more questions like that (which are harder) will be asked by a lawyer, if this does become a case. Plus, you cant confuse the story like you did to us. The lawyer can spin it so easy ways if you story is confusing and then you try to re-correct yourself and the lawyer will say your changing you story around now. you have to get every little tiny detail right in your story.

Also, Rebel I'm sure Cedar Point has been in the negative spotlight before, and I think this won't hurt them.

Will the media say that his pass got revoked for reaching over the seat and getting sunglasses or wearing an offensive shirt isn't that a violation? Cedar Point will say that, and It will just show people that Cedar Point is being safe, and are following their own rules.

he did not resist or any of that . he was polite through the process, he wanted to speak out but figured it would result in a negative matter. he thought he would be able to return as told, and then they took his pass after the stamps.

be lucky they didn't arrest you, bud.

I agree withe MichiganStateFan.

All that will come from media attention would be that Cedar Point was enforcing their rules and keeping people safe.... I don't think the general public would react negatively to that.

TERROR AT CEDAR POINT! COULD IT HAPPEN TO YOUR KIDS??????? tune in at 11

Thanks for clarifying! Standing up on a ride is a definate NO-NO!!! And the VOID stamps on the hands and wrists... well, probably limited to a VOID over the stamp you get when you want to re-enter the park ...if not the case, just a clear indication then that this person is not to re-enter to the people at the gates. (Must have been done in permanent ink if it's that much of a problem... other wise a lil' soap n' water would probably clear that up)!

You still didn't clarify whether or not he was actually standing up.

Yes, he did:

I'm confused. If he was standing, I would assume he would have HAD to remove his restraints. If that is the case, the park was right in what they did.

I don't understand how anyone could stand with the restraints in place.

I don't understand this entire thread. If the guy was removed from the park, had his pass revoked and was told to turn his shirt inside-out, there's very likely much more to the story than has been told here. I highly doubt the powers that be would go through so much trouble for what's described in this version of the story.

I mean, there's obviously a lot of information that has been omitted - was there even mention of what was on his shirt?

There are two sides to every story and the one side we HAVE heard isn't clear.

I withhold judgment and everyone else should do the same.

RideMan,

You might know if it would be possible to stand, with the restraints in place, on Magnum. With the seatbelt and lapbar, I don't see how this could be done.

Removable legs, MrScott... removable legs.

After reading through this.....breaking the rules is horrible, especially when you STAND on the ride. He deserved to be kicked out of the park. I don't know if I agree 100% about his season pass getting taken away though.

Consider this;

Your friend stands up on the ride, cant get back in his seat properly, and dies, or gets VERY seriously injured. OR, someone sees your friend get away with this, and CP does nothing about it, and THEY get hurt or killed. In either scenario, CP is the one getting sued for millions of dollars by families for the CP ride op not doing his job, etc.

First, I do not believe you are telling the whole truth. You mention the ride op as "not enjoying your jovial attitude". This says a lot, actually, as your choice of words suggests that you are one of the guests I personally HATE to be on a coaster with or standing in line with. Second, whats up with wearing a "questionable" shirt if you know its questionable? Third, and foremost, your friend stood up on Magnum.

Lets review that again.

Your friend stood up on Magnum.

Bottom line, there is a LOT you are not telling us, and even through your rose-colored-glasses version, I still feel the passes should have been revoked, and even the late Johnny Cochran could not help you.

He wouldnt even take your case.

Ok, I'm withholding judgement here, but I think this joebloe person meant to say that the op thought he was standing up on the ride. Someone on the first page asked if he meant that the op thought his friend was "standing up the ride" or "standing up on the ride." His response was that he forgot the "on" in his original post, and worded his response to that question wrongly. So if that is really what was meant, then the friend in question wasn't really standing up, the op was accusing the person of standing up, which, like he said, could be cleared up through the video taken by the security cameras on the lift hill. So what I'm saying is, he was saying that the op believe that his friend was standing up, he wasn't stating that his friend stood up, he was stating what the op stated. Joe, am I correct in that guess?

Either way, I do think that there are some important details missing, and it is a very shaky story as it stands.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

Politely write letters and make phone calls every day. It worked for me when someone had stolen my season pass certificates. I bought my season pass the last winter then ended up working there and wanted to give it to my friend. It ended up taking 2 and a half weeks, but after calling the same person day after day, they looked up the certificates (since they were bought under my name) and found out that someone who had been recently fired had stolen and used them. I confronted him about it and he told me he bought his at meijer. He never admited it. Anyway, they ended up revoking his pass and then gave me a new copy of the certificates free of the 10 dollar lost or stolen charge just to shut me up and because I was polite about it.

Yeah, I saw that but I think he meant to say that the op thought he was standing up.

If he was standing up, all I can say is that he made his bed, now sleep.
