What was that walk down on?

The walk down was on Mean Streak. It was broken down and I believe reopened around 12:30, I'm not positive though.

It was packed! I would say it was twice as busy as the last 4 OD I have been to.

TTD was running with only 6 people on it till sometime after 12:00. Due to the lines I did not get to ride Raptor (2hr.) TTD (2hr.) or MaXair (1 hr.)

Maverick looks sweet, the seats are really comfy.

It was cool to meet the Buzzers that I met. We hit up a couple rides together, Gemini, Mean Streak and SkyHawk to name a few.

Despite the crowds it was still a good time, hope it calms down next weekend since I will be there for Sat. and Sun.

Did anyone notice that the CP webcam was back to working today? Had a pretty good view of the Maverick. A little bit of Snake River Falls is visible, but not much else.

My additions:

TTD, and Mean Streak had a tough opening day. Magnum was done a little bit in the evening but was running fantastic when it was up, in fact Ill go out on a limb and say that it was probably running the best Ive ever seen it, it was flying today, and thanks to the cold, no trims :). Gemini was also quite good today, Maxair was not an hour wait for me, midday I got on it in a little over 30 mins, I was a little disapointed with the operations of that, after seing how the PKI crew handles Delerium I think the Maxair crew has a little catching up to do.

Also, way too many busese there today, but it was neet to see a strong concentration of SP/enthusiasts that you normally dont see. Also, wow am I sore and beat up, just like the some of the rides, I need to be tweaked in the next coming weeks.

Glad to see that rubber band on Maverick's test seat is still there. :)

well, my day at CP started off and soak city entrance where i had to watch TTD roll back about every other time. i saw adam there he was about ten people infront of me. once they let us he though he was gone and i tried to catch up but i was too far behind. it took forever( like 30 mins) till we could ride dragster. AFter the joe cool club hr. the park was really crowded.so i tried to hit as many rides as i could. i ended up meet MR. Cedar Point on raptor.we got front row and the cameras on there are pretty cool.

For lunch i went to TGIF and waited about 10 mins for a table which wasnt bad for the crowd there.

also ended up meeting touchdown at the donut shop. i went to the picnic but didnt bring anything and felt bad so i didnt bother staying i just wanted to check it out.

The weather there was ok to me i think it was around 60 but if you rode wicked twister it felt like only 20.

only disapointment of the day.......( besides the long lines) quite a few rides were breaking down even the mine ride

Overall, opening day was great. A lot of technical problems though! TTD was down, Magnum was down, Mean Streak was down. Is this usual for Opening Day? TTD in the back row at closing was fun!!!

Something tells me it is... But I'm not really sure.

How do the cameras on Raptor look? Are they very noticeable?

lmao a walkdown on meanstreak! Nice for the first day. I tell you, you get the work out of your life on that lift hill. If i did that every day I would be all set for my wedding!

Well at least I have a chance in my life for a rollback on TTD still!

Great day for me!! Best Birthday on opening weekend oh yeah. Watched the show at Red Garter pretty good but the crowds made it feel like july!

Maverick looks so Awesome but a lil sad to see it closed.

Great Day and I had a blast. Lots of rides breaking down but the usual opening day bugs that needed to be worked out of the system.

well the front row on raptor the cameras are above you and out of your way but definatly noticable if you looking at the train. but all the other rows the cameras are set in between the seats.

Man what an unbelievable opening to 2007! Just rolled in from riding TTD last ride of the night. Didn't get on till 11:45 after waiting 2 hours for them to figure it out in the frigid Halloweekend like temperatures. When that sun went down, its got cold! lol Like many people, I had shorts on.

Park was jam packed but it was awesome. Pointbuzz Party was great, so much food I am still full, nice seeing so many people there.

After around 8 tonight, the attendance went down as it does in the evening and I just started picking them off one at a time. Excellent day, I'll post more later, gotta be to work at 6am..and I'm not sure how I'm going to do that one.

The longest line I waited in was the season ticket line. We were in that for about 90 minutes. What I noticed was that they really seemed to over-estimate the wait times. The girl outside Millennium was saying this is a 2 hour wait, no bathroom breaks, no smoking bla bla bla the sign said 1hr 45min...we waited only 45 minutes. Same goes for a 1 hour wait at DT (30 mins acutally) and 1 hour at MS (again 30 minutes). The one I do believ was Raptor as it looked like the line was full from Blue Streak.

I didn't see anyone smoking in line but they were smoking all over the midways and I saw numerous staff walk right by without saying a word. Then later I see a guy drinking a beer and having a smoke about 20 feet from the "smoking section" and a CP cop corrals him back into the right area.

After getting our pictures we entered the park about 12:30 and hit Demon Drop, Blue Streak, Cedar Downs, Iron Dragon, Corkscrew, Gemini, Mine Ride, Skyhawk, Mean Streak, Magnum, Millennium, Demon Drop, Disaster Transport, Iron Dragon and then ended the night on Millennium again at about 10:30. The place was pretty crowded but we didn't wait longer than 45 minutes for anything which I feel is pretty good. We also saw the Rock'n Country show at the Red Garter which was great.

Hmmm. So its sounds like crowds might not have been as bad as wait time signs would indicate.

^ Raptor looked bad in the early afternoon. I didn't think Dragster looked too bad. I can't really speak on either of them or Maxair as I was with a 48 incher
