I (Misty) am slightly over weight. I had no problem fitting in the seat with the belt at all. I even had about 5 inches to spare. I also had on a fannie pack strapped to my hip and angled to the side that was holding a camera. Guess that didn't make a difference but oh well. I was worried, but had no problems. And everyone does have different body types. I am a bit over weight but I am also tall. It would be different for someone of similarity yet shorter than I. It would also make a difference if your male or female. I am a women with bigger hips then my husband. I have heard of a man being turned away because he had a 38-39' waist. You honestly can not judge by all these measurements as I have tried to do before going in fear of being turned away with humiliation(sp) but you can not say with different formations. but, I hope I can help out the gals with my measurements.
Have fun and CP no matter what.

I was able to ride. I did not have to try hard to get the 1 inch needed. Hope this helps other of similiar size. *** Edited 7/19/2004 2:12:30 PM UTC by Splunge***
It would be best to use a soft seated chair, like the computer chair this man used. I think it does a little more to simulate the depth in the seat like the real thing. I did that test on a hardwood seat and the measruement came out to 30 inches, which would mean a no go. I then did it on my computer chair and it was 26", and I fit in the real thing with 3" of slack, just like the guy in that test seat.

Pulled 3" of slack in the test seat. Got on to ride, and couldn't pull any. Barely got it fastened. Sixth seat back, yellow train, left side. The ride ops didn't seem to notice or care, and I rode (and survived)
But, if you're questionable, avoid that seat. The belt there is definitely shorter than the test seat.

Magnum still rocks.

I can fit 36" pants, so I assume I have a 36" waist.
Hopefully I'm able to ride, but there are people bigger than I am so I shouldn't have a problem. I'll find out when I go next year.
210 pounds
40 inch waist
I was able to fit with about 3 inches of belt to spare

Dimensions for me - just to be a joiner on the thread - are:
Female
Ht: 5'6"
Wt: 237 lbs
Hips: 39"
With our dental floss fake seat belt of 27" yesterday, OldCPer and I figured that I "ought" to be able to fit, approximating it all as best we could. ;-)

I have no idea if I am able to ride. If someone could please contact me through PM to see if I could. I am currently on a diet and have lost 50lbs since January, and will probably lose 30-40lbs more by May. *** Edited 4/22/2005 7:29:51 PM UTC by Benjamin***
