How big are you? Can you ride?

Now someone pleae correct me on this - Jeff, anyone?

I was under the impression that Cedar Point was going to work on getting the belts at MF more consistent and even reworking them so that more people are able to ride. My wife has had problems on MF before, but not as much on TTD. Those two rides seem to be the only problem rides for her. Me, no problem.

Anyone who's been this year, please tell me if this is in fact the case, or are things still the same as last year? The wife really enjoys MF, so it would kill me if she were turned away (came close last year).

Can Ride Any Ride, Any Where!

Sometimes being skinny can make a ride uncomfortable also. I do tend to bet bounced around alot on overyly aggressive coasters like: Thunderbolt, The Beast, and Grizzly (KD).

No offense, obviously, but 30 inch waists are not the type of people who would be considered borderline on MF/TTD. Thanks for posting your "stats", but I think we all knew you could ride before ;)

For me, I am 245, 40 inch waist, and 6'1, and I can ride all the rides, but some are quite close...

Just FYI....next to last row, left side on MF Red train is Extremely short. I had plenty of slack in other seats, but this one was at least 2 inches or more from even buckling. The majority of the belts are longer than they have been in the past, so maybe that one didn't get replaced.

Took my first walk of shame last year on Apollo's Chariot. And it changed my life. lol

Then:

Height: 5' 10"

Weight: 314lbs

Waist: 46"

Chest: 54"

I'm going to Cedar Point for the first time on 6/18/07. Hope I can ride on at least TTD. (I live approx. 850 miles away from Cedar Point)

Present:

Height: 5' 10"

Weight: 238lbs (and dropping)

Waist: 38"

Chest: 46"

Back in 2004 I was,

Weight 216.9

Height: 6'1"

Waist 38 or 39 (Tight Fit)

Now

Weight 187.3

Height 6'1"

Waist 36-38

My last visit to the Point, I had no problems getting on MF or TTD. I had about four to five Inch's of slack.

Anyone ride it enough yet to gauge which train is the best on average? I believe blue seemed to give the least problems last year?

Those of you who have rode it, and tried the test seat are they about the same fit?

I have dropped from 295 in 2005, to 260 is 2006, and now I am 245 as of May 2007. The Dragster test seat seemed so much easier this year, but for some reason MF seat was about the same as last year as far as struggle.

I'm wondering if maybe the shortened the test seat on MF a little bit? I don't see why I would have less problems with Dragster and not notice a difference on MF.

I have not ridden either one, just tried the seats. Dragster was down and I didn't want to wait for MF and get kicked off due to a shorter belt on the train compared to the test seat.

~I haven't been there yet, I was suppose to go on may 20, but we postponed when we heard about maverick.. instead we r going at the end of june.

Last year

weight-(1 month before i went) 234
height 5'7
I could ride Millenium Force, but I wear glasses and couldn't see the buckle w/o them...and it was a tight fit so the worker had to buckle it for me.

This year
weight 205
height same
eyes contacts!

I can't wait until I go b/c I am pretty sure i'll be able to buckle it on my own and I'll be able to see for the first time on a roller coaster b/c I'm blind w/o my glasses!~

Since I've been reading posts on this site for the past 6 months, I thought it only fair to post some information from my most recent visit for Coastermania 2007.

2003 was my last visit to CP and weighed in at ~270, 6'1". MF was no problem, but close...

I had only gained weight since that time and with the shorter seat belt didn't see a reason to go back.

After returning from a Jan 2007 IOA trip, I weighed in at 294lbs and a 50" waist. My son turned 7 years old that same month and had hit the 52" mark. Time to loose some weight so we could hit Cedar Point for Coastermania this year.

A group of 19 people where I work started a biggest looser contest that lasted 16 weeks. I ended up winning with a total weight loss of 48lbs or 16.3% --- and got the $475 pot of cash too!!!

Anyway, just got back from the trip. Lots of fun, but really tired.

Present stats: 6'1", 246lbs, 42/44 waist. MF was not a problem. I was able to consistently pull an 1" of extra belt -- EXCEPT with my wallet in my back pocket (it really does make a difference).

I hope this post is of encouragement to others who haven't been able to ride MF in a while. It was really hard work, but well worth it in the end.

It was a great feeling riding down that first drop with my 7 year old son screaming with me!

Not sure on my waist size but i can fit on every ride at the park(not including the kiddie rides).

Height: 65'3"
Weight: I dont know (just did a bunch of dieting.)

Yesterday after four long years I made my triumphant return to MF. It all started back on opening day when I rode the test seat and realized that they had lengthened the seat belts. They were now close to touching on me so I knew that finally there was a chance I could fit again (my upper thighs/rear end is always the last place a lose weight.) That was the final push for me to lose some weight, so I started eating less sometimes to the point of having a second lunch instead of dinner. My next trip on Memorial Day I got the clasps to touch, for my brithday a week later I was oh so close but I finally fit on Raptor again (a yearly problem for me that I usually can fix,) and finally yesterday I managed to do it. The first time I rode it I buckled myself no problem but due to my legs swelling during the day I needed help to buckle it at night. Also beware the 3rd to last row of the yellow park side, its belt is threaded outside the bar.

It was fantastic riding that ride again. My goal is to get to the point where I fit on TTD because if I fit on that, then MF and Raptor will not be a problem.

Height : 6'1
Weight 245
Waist: 36

I fit on all the rides with probably 1.5-2 inches of slack, but was asked to sit in the test seat on Millie, I had ridden the day before so I opted not to.

I'm going on 6/22-6/24. Hope this isn't too big.

If someone can tell me if i'm good, please let me know.

You should be ok shuble, but of course I don't know that for sure. I am 245 and 5'8" and have a larger waist and can make it on (some struggle required), but have never been denied a ride.
