I'm 250 lbs, 6'1", wear a 36" pant and have quite a large chest. Do you think I will have any problems? I'm thinking I should be alright with belts but maybe not OTSRs?
I think you should be good on everything except Wicked Twister, that was a no go for me last year with my bigger upper body. I was riding everything last year at 270lbs 6'4" and a 38" waist. Raptor and Mantis were snug but i fit. MF and Dragster were a little snug, but the ride ops helped with the belt since they are in a horrible location on where they buckle on the side. I'm now 240lbs and 34-36" waist and alot smaller chest (manboobs) lmao! I should be clear sailing on everything this year! Good luck and most important, Have Fun no matter what!
Try Wicked Twisters test seat though, you never know!

-If your chest span is over the size of 52" you will most likely not be able to ride: Mantis, Raptor, or Wicked Twister (Cedar Point does not have the exceptional size seats like some B&M roller coasters have). Wicked Twister is going to be the hardest because of the side seatbelt.
Corkscrew might be a problem. My tip is use the front seat in any part of the train because there is more leg room. The OSTR is like any Arrow Corkscrew w/ a seat belt. Unique body sizes vary.
Maverick really is the best for large chests because of the OSTR design.
All of these roller coasters, (except Corkscrew) have test seats at the entrance. Top Thrill Dragster, maXair, Skyhawk, and Millennium Force all have test seats.
Just a quick note: Wave Swinger has a 230lb weight limit.

Awesome, thanks for the info guys. I will definitely try the test seats where available to avoid waiting in line for a serving of embarrassment.
It won't worry me if I don't make Wicked Twister, but fingers crossed for Millennium Force, Top Thrill and Maverick.
I was about 310 lbs a couple years ago and had to use the "big boy" seats at Busch and Universal in FL (but only just) so I think I should be good for Raptor.
Do you think I would make Flight of Fear and Thunderhawk at Kings Island? I figure I should be alright with Diamondback.
6' 4", 165 lbs, 32" waist, no problems riding.
Just curious if we are discussing a particular ride or all rides in general?

Yeah I wasn't sure...
P.S. I think anybody under 200 lbs is gonna be fine with everything lol.
^ Even if you are under 200 lbs you might have issues with leg room on some rides....
I'm 5' 9.5", 195 lbs, 34" waist, and about a 44" chest. I'm not tall but my legs are like tree trunks. That makes some of the lap bars on some of the rides a real pain for me at times.
The leg room on CCMR is horrible... I have to cross my ankles on that all the time and my legs still feel like they're shoved in a clown car on that coaster.
The thing I seem to run into on most of the coasters with the lap bars is that I'm right in between the lock levels.-- To get it snug, I have to click it down where it is uncomfortably tight on my thighs to the point where I think circulation might get cut off... but any level looser and it's just way too loose and the ride ops will usually still shove it down with their body weight into my thighs.
The only one that I've ever gotten concerned on fitting is Wicked Twister (the OTSR on that one is tight with the side seatbelt) and one time on Millennium (the seat belt on my seat was cut insanely short compared to the others on the train and just needed be replaced -- the ride ops knew because they said they had been having trouble with the belt length on that seat all day.)
I went there Saturday. I am 5'9 282. I got on MaxAir, Raptor, Gemini, Disaster Transport, Maverick, Shoot the Rapids, and Corkscrew. Dragster was the only one I couldn't ride that I tried. I'm getting there though. I was 338 in March.

Yes Great job ronnie.
I myself lost 20 pounds since may about 10 weeks. Im down to 203 28 more pounds to go to my unltimate goal. Thanks to posts like this these cecar point forums that is what motivated me to lose weight and get into some kind of decent shape. You never know what it takes to motivate you. I am determined for this to be a lifestyle change and keep off the weight.
Since January 4th, i have lost 85lbs and went from a size 44 pants, to a size 34-36. I gained alot of my weight during the last few months before my dad passed from pancreatic cancer. But come the new year, my wife and i decided to go on diets, and that we did. She lost 40lbs.

Yeah, only ride I've had any real issues with so far this summer is Jr. Gemini. Maybe I should complain that they built a roller coaster I don't fit in very well because I'm so tall ;)
Thank you. Congrats to everyone else who is losing weight. When I was there, I was amazed at how smaller the belts are on Dragster then any other ride. I probably have about 60 more pounds to lose before I can ride that. Just more motivation.
Alright I'm going in two weeks and all the sudden I have become worried if I will be able to ride or not. I'm 6'1" 140 lbs? not to sure. I wear a 36 to 38". I'm very proportional so its spread out and I don't look to fat. Will I be able to ride Millenium, Dragster and Wicked Twister. Ive ridden El Toro, Storm Runner, Farenheight this summer and they are intamin rides. I rode Voodoo last year and I havent gained much weight in a year so will Wicked Twister be a problem? Thanks for the answers.
I have found out through the few times I've been to the point that if you have a 44" waist and are hovering around 300 (like me) you won't have much problems with:
Gemini (everybody fits - MORE COASTERS SHOULD BE LIKE THIS, CEDAR FAIR!), Corkscrew (not much leg room), Magnum (belt is close), Disaster Transport, Mean Streak (standard woodie coaster seat or whatever), Iron Dragon (see Gemini), Wildcat and most flat rides.
Some Trouble: Blue Streak (darn seat dividers make it a game-time decision), Skyhawk (leg bar was really close), Power Tower (I just missed this one by less than a half inch). Maverick (made it on in 08, but only on the skin on my chinny chin chin).
No Chance Whatsoever: Millenium Force (I wasn't close when I was at 230), TTD (basically same seat as MF, but with a bit more give - I made it on in 2007, college weight probably pushed me over the edge), Raptor (broad shoulders make it impossible, had nothing to do with weight), Mantis (same as Raptor, but with a bit more weight problem), many flats with OTSRs including Maxair (fit in 06) and Chaos.
Cedar Point and I guess amusement parks in general are such an excellent motivator to lose weight, but I think it is time to get big boy rows on new rides (and old ones too!), or all they have to do is lengthen belts on some seats such as Raptor and Mantis (every time, the restraints click more than once) and many tall and broad shouldered people like myself will be very happy cash-spending guests. I mean, what's it going to cost or matter if a row has two seats with one or two belts that are significantly longer?

You're gonna need a scale, because I'm pretty sure that's not your actual weight. If it is, then you'll have absolutely no problem fitting on anything. I'm 5'7" and 170lbs, and have never had a problem.

A 36 to 38 waist you should have no problems. With that waist size I would doubt that your 140 but what do i know. Either way you will be more then fine fitting on all the rides.

I think that might be impossible to be wearing a 36-38 when weighing 140 lbs. Unless you are shaped like a pyramid, I would say it is possible to be a 32" waist.
