Dug this topic out of the closet, ironically on the last day CP is open this year.
We went yesterday 11/1/08.
Height 5'10"
Weight: 253 lbs.
Waist: 40"
I tried the test seat and barely made it. Ride attendant at the test seat re-assured me thet I would be able to get on. After a nervous 40 minute wait, we got the red train. I was on left side about 2/3 the way back. Got on with about 3/4 inch to spare. Its not really the weight thats an issue IMO, its more how big your butt and theighs are since the seatbelt goes right across the zipper area.
6'2
230lbs
42" waist
I could ride with no problem. If you noticed this year the belts on MF were under the side supports which helped out a great deal. It was great getting back on the MF,TTD after not riding for 2 years because of my weight. I lost 25 lbs to get on those coasters this year and it was well worth it and I plan to stay down from now on.
Sorry for pulling this topic out of the vault but I'm going to CP over July 4th weekend (insane I know) and I'm curious as to whether or not I'm going to fit on all the rides. Well not the kiddie rides but you know what I mean.
Since May 1st I've gone from 252 lbs down to 228 lbs. I'm 5'10". My waist is around 40" comfortably, but if I suck it in I can get down to about 36". My weight is pretty evenly dispersed.
Should I be worried? Think I'll be good for all TTD, Millie, Maverick, etc? Is there anyway to know if I'll be safe or not before we get all the way out there (7 hour drive)?
Any comments or advice is greatly appreciated.

I think you should be good to go. TTD and MF the belt goes over the top of your thighs, not your waist so you should be good there. Rides like Mantis, Raptor, WT it all depends on your build up top, but from what you posted, i think you will fit. MS and BS are always snug with those seat dividers but you should fit there.

I am 265lb and 6'. I fit on everything ok. If I get over 275 I cannot fit on Millie, Dragster, and sometimes. WT. You should be OK with everything.

Height 5'10"
Weight 280..down from 452
Waist 52"..down from 70!! Wow I was huge.
You should be pretty good I would guess. I can ride everything except Millie, TTD, Mantis, Raptor, Mine Ride, WT, Maxair and Skyhawk. I'm very close to getting on Raptor, Mantis, Maxair and Skyhawk. Not as close on the others. My problem is with all the weight I've lost, the excess skin and fat around my mid section "expands" when I sit and makes me bigger around the middle than when I'm standing. Just enough to make it hard to fasten seatbelts.
How much more weight loss will it take to get on Raptor, Mantis, MF and TTD?
I'm down from 336 to 293 in 3 months. I went from a size 46 to a 42 in some jeans and in other I'm in a 40. My 2 older sons are tell enuff to ride, will I be able to ride this year??
I can give you my weight loss progression and what I could/couldn't ride. I am 5' 8" tall.
Aug 2008
306 lbs
52 waist
Not much at all. Gemini, Magnum.
Oct 2008
265 lbs
46 waist
Same as above. Almost on Raptor.
May 2009
215 lbs
38 waist
Everything.
It's all about proportions. Big chests and waists are out. CP can make you feel really fat compared to other parks.
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 125 lbs
Everything! :)

Hey just got back from two days at CP and I was able to FIT ON EVERYTHING!
Information for anyone looking, I'm, 5'10", weigh about 221 lbs (down from 252 lbs), and have a 38"-40" waist. I was able to pull plenty of slack on Millennium Force and Dragster, even in cargo shorts and jeans.
I seriously thought I was not going to fit, but after this weekend it appears that the CP staff will really try to get you on the rides. I did see two people turned away at Dragster though.
For the ladies, my girlfriend is a size 14-16 and she also was able to ride everything without any problems.

^^Congrats, man! But be careful...the slimmer you are, the harder it will start to become to ride with the restraint as loose as possible (how I ride)...so loose shirts to veil over loose restraints, avoiding ride op eye-contact (after you successfully "get away" with a loose restraint check), strategic positioning of the arms and hands to conceal a loose restraint, and scootching up in the seat as far as possible will all be critical to maximizing the thrill of your ride!
You like putting yourself in danger? I don't need to be stapled down, but having the restraint loose is just stupid. And the fact that you hide it means you know its wrong and do it anyway.

Everytime i have ridden MF and Dragster this year, they are no longer making you pull slack.

Ok here goes:
5'9"
285lbs...
46" Waist
THIGHS: here's the kicker... if I measure my thighs/waist while sitting down... they're only 37". Seatbelts run from like the your hip to the other hip... right?
I expect to not get on some of them... but how many?
Just try the test seats at TTD and MF.... i am 6'4" 265lbs with a 38" waist and i fit alright on those 2.... Wicked Twister is a hit or miss with my upper body, Raptor is a little snug.....I'm guessing that Raptor, Mantis and Wicked Twister are probably out for you, but you never know. Everyone is proportioned differently. Give it a shot, if you fit you fit, if you don't you don't :)
