How big are you? Can you ride?

5'10"

235#

36" waist

I fit with plenty of room thankfully my weight is in my chest.

You know whats weird? I weigh like 160 and my waist is like 32". The weird thing is even though I fit in just fine, sometimes I still have to play with the belt a little. I'm very very skinny so I fit right in but there are sometimes where I have to play with it a little.

lets say this

5' 8'', 250, waste was 40ish i think

i had been riding the ride since it opened (season pass owner)

new belt 'rules' put in

i fit in the test seat, made the okay, waited an hour, couldn't get my distance i needed in the actual car.. made me leave, been on a diet ever since

i was quite dissapointed
i almost cried it was that sad for me

If you've been "dieting ever since", you shoudn't have a problem getting a ride. However, ANYONE over 220 lbs should be concerned. That's where the problems start, from what I hear.

Well, true. But I havn't had a chance to go up yet. Just hope you don't get some snoby teenager. I at least had someone who gave me some respect.

Respect is one thing. Being too fat to ride is another. Know the differece bt-wix the two.

Mmm... Millennium Force. I've been watching what I eat, and drinking only water and the occassional milk for a little bit now. I'm afraid to step on the scale... I want to ride MF, want to bad. My goal is to fit for Coastermania. Will I do it? Only time will tell...

You'll do it, if you want to bad enough.

I could ride at 245....im about 6 feet tall....it's a tight fit but i did it about 10 times last year....i would put a belt on and tighten it the absolute most i could (almost to where i cant breath) and maybe that helped...but i've been losing weight over the winter so ill be a for sure thing this year

Arms down, head back, and hold on.....

I was able to ride at 245. It's body shape, not how much you weigh (within reason).

Awhile ago, I came online to hopefully figure out if I should even attempt to get on the MF/TTD, and I found mostly male sizes (or females not close to my size) and their results, but I realize that men and women aren't built the same, so I left for CP not having a clue wether or not I'd be turned down.

I promised myself that once I got back, I'd post my results to hopefully give some other ladies out there some idea of where they stand.

Height: 5'8
Weight: 195
Jean Size: 14/15 (comfortable not tight fitting.)

I carry my weight pretty evenly, if that helps anybody out there.

Got on?
MF, not asked to try test seat, once we got up to the front, I was able to buckle without a problem (by myself) and have 2-3 inches of slack without trying very hard.

TTD, again, not asked, got on perfectly. *** Edited 7/17/2006 6:37:07 AM UTC by Andrea123***

  • 5'5

  • 33-34''waist
  • male
  • forced to try test seat fit 5'' of slack. rode with my fanny pack on pushed to one side. the wife don't fit she did fit before the belt change and just fits SMROS at SFDL. we have not been back to CP its been 2 or 3 years now.they need to change the trains or the tee bar restraints or something why go to CP if you cant ride MF or TTD.could this be why attendance has been down the last 2 years or so? I DONT THINK DICK K. KNOWS HOW BAD OF A PROBLEM THIS IS.we have 5 kids. we always go to CP with are friends that have 4 kids. he dont fit any more. so we go to other parks.thats 13 customers that don,t go to CP 3 or more times a year.they need to fix this dumb seatbelt problem!

I'll be going over to Cedar point next week, and I'm afraid my mom won't be able to ride. I'd feel to bad telling her that, but I don't want her to wait in line and really want to ride only to get turned away.

I'm pretty sure she wears a 20. I have no idea what she weighs though. She carries most of her weight around her stomach, no so much her hips and thighs. And she wears her pants around her stomach, so thats the size 20, not her waist.

What do you all think, think she'll be able to ride?!

Yeah. I can.

6'2" 235-240lbs 38-40 inch waist depending on the brand, and I know I have a big butt too which does not help,I barley fit somtimes. One time the ride operator had to hold the belt while I buckled it together myself. Once buckled the slack is very difficult to pull out, but one thing that helps is too pull the belt side to side as your pulling out.

Another thing to think about if you are very close to fitting try riding first thing in the morning, you are always a little thinner then. Last year when I went I bought one of those special sweat suites at a sporting goods store. I wore the pants the whole drive (very uncomfortable by the way) to help shed a little extra water weight, and I think it helped. You can do the same thing using plastic wrap found in your kitchen. I also go comando when riding Millennium to help free up every millimeter of space that I can.

I also found the back seats of each car to have a little more room. I think it has to do with the little bit of extra leg room I get with out that bar that goes across on the front part of each car. I have gone the past three years and I have always been able to ride. Sometimes very close, but it gives me good motivation to try and eat better.

Interesting. I would be more interested in comparisons of how the test seat belt fit compared to the actual ride belts.

At 5'10", 250 lbs and 40" waist I rode TTD earlier this year. It was tight though. Tried MF test seat and couldn't get the latch within 4 inches. Didn't feel like waiting in line to find out I didn't fit. I know leg size makes a difference too, but I was surprised that only being 25 lbs more than last year, there seemed to be such a difference. (Not even close in previous years)

I know that there are alot of coasters I can ride at CP, but i'm so depressed that I can't get on MF. Will CP allow my son to help me fasten my seatbelt? After all I just need about a inch?

The guidelines suggest that you have to be able to fasten your own seatbelt and pull one half inch, but I've had people tell me that the ride ops allowed a friend or relative to help them. I have also heard of some instances of the ride ops themselves helping. I guess it just depends on the ride op and what each one will allow.

Weight: 118

Height: 5 6

Able to ride!

Thanks DRose

Last year I weighed in at 237 lbs and I didn't have a problem getting on, but the second time I tried I wasn't able to fasten my seatbelt and I didn't get any help, so I had to leave the ride. I still weigh the same and I am trying to lose a little, but I only have a week. I have been trying ever since the start of the season when I weighed in at 245, so I have almost lost 20 lbs.
