Hey everyone! A few questions.

no, they might tell you when you process in, but wont know what ride you have until your contract comes in the mail. Which will be in march or april.

You don't have to wait until it comes in the mail. The same site you check where it tells you your application is being reviewed, once you have your interview a few weeks (i don't really remember how long it took) later that site will have your contract posted on it. It comes a lot sooner than the one in the mail, just keep checking that website. It tells you your ride, contracted dates and everything you need to know. Also in the phone interview, if you really want a coaster I wouldn't admit to being afraid of heights...I may have bent the truth on that. But even when I worked on Raptor, I told them I wasn't comfortable with heights and they didn't make me do the lift walk...thank goodness.

thanks mackenzie, thank goodness im not afraid of heights, with the exception of the millenium and dragster. i actually prefer to work on a less popular coaster i know that the iron dragon, wildcat, and corkscrew are in area 2. but i will be ok with any ride i get im not picky

Haha, well lucky for you TTD and MF don't have lift walks. Magnum's looks horrifying though. Hopefully you get a ride you want, and even if you don't I'm sure you'll get a chance to work plenty of different rides.

And also dont be afraid to work a childrens area. Its not nearly as bad as you would think. I was horrified by the thought that I was going to Planet Snoopy for a week last year. And Mackenzie knows how that ended up lol

My interview ended with being told that i would most likely end up at Gemini...
And Magnum's lift walk is not that bad. its more stable feeling than some of the older rides.
Ill just repeat what has already been said several times; The crew will make your summer, not the ride. Some rides are made to be run, and some of the newer rides were made to simply stand by and almost let the ride run it's self.

Just an update on the reason I started this topic. I got another email back and they changed my application from part time to full time! Now I just have to wait for the phone call.

they just started hiring and i can guarantee they probably only called and hired a handful of people for each area today, as today was probably the first day of hiring.

i know a lot of returners who didn't get leadership are waiting on calls, including myself, so don't even worry. it may take a bit, but if they like you, you'll get a call. :)

I know. My post was mainly made in jest. I know I have to wait a while longer, but I know it'll be worth it.

What did you guys do to have them change your application to full time instead of part time.

Don't worry, when they call you for your interview just let them know that you meant full time. I did the same thing, it won't matter when they review your app.
