Isn't Club Blood a little trashy for Cedar Point. I heard it was pretty trashy last year at KI. I am sort of suprised Mr. K. would allow that here.

What makes you think it'll be done the same? It'll probably be similar to Lair with a new name.

@ Clevelandkid from the previous page. Zombo and the King Dapper Combo is returning with the new name Graveyard Rockers (good move). It's on zomboworld.com for those who wonder. Although "David" won't be returning to perform Poe. Someone else will do that. Refer to my post in the 'News' section which also says what happened to the old Monsters Rock! for others who wonder what's up with the new name.

After looking at the site a little more, I figured that might be the case. I love that band, there perfect for that show. Thanks for the info, now I know for sure.

I'll be the first to say that I love the halloweekends site, it's very well done. Being a BIG halloween/haunted house buff, I think this will indeed be one of the best halloweekends thus far. I'm looking forward to Corn Stalkers and Terror Island. In regards to the Club Blood; I went on a lights on tour of KI's Club Blood and it was VERY graphic. While I enjoy those kinds of haunts, I highly doubt we'll see anything near as graphic as KI. My bet is that they'll use Lair of the Vampire props and such with different color schemes.

Sure! Get rid of another attraction the whole family can enjoy and replace it with something that only those over 48" can ride! I'm all for expansion, but not for the sake of the few rides and attractions that CP has left for the whole family to go on.

In other news, I think the Halloweekends stuff is going to kick major arse this year. I cannot wait!

It was already stated in a response to a blog reader that Paddle Wheel will run this weekend, will be down for the remainder of the year and will be back next year.

When we use the words "at the former _____," all we mean is, it's transformed on a temporary basis.

Paddlewheel Excursions is not going anywhere.

when i was little a man behind me said that the paddlewheel was going to break and we would sink... i have only been on that ride once since.staying on topic, i think im gonna miss warewolf canyon this year, its always been my favorite. at least cornstalkers sounds exciting!

You know, if it were a ride like White Water Landing or something, I would agree with you. But lets face it, Paddlewheel isn't the ride it once was. You actually used to feel like you were how do I put it, "going back in time" as they used to say. The employees used to dress up, the ships used to look a whole lot coolier, plus there were a lot more trees which gave the ride more privacy. Talking with the employees who work it, there attendance has steadily decreased and its down this year.

^It's hard to feel like you've gone back in time when you hear Mantis roaring right next to your boat, and MF flying right over your head.

I agree that this ride used to be much better, but it fell victim to a lack of detail. The props now appear to be hodge-podged together a little bit in that they don't flow with a "frontier trail" theme. I've also noticed that the burning boat and gold miner have since passed. A few more trees around the parameter of the ride would be a good step forward.

Not to long ago I watched a family video of Cedar Point one part was of the boat ride it showed the burning boat and a few other props that definattly aren't there now, I think it was taken back in 1968 or maybe early 70's. Things have definattly changed.

Well a new blog is out and tells us that dave is going to be at the alien cafe. Guess he wont be in the graveyard.

^^ Also notice how the Indian is posed to hold a rifle, he now but holds a politically correct fishing rod. Ah the good old days of fake Indian attacks. I remember the half-sunken riverboat on fire and the fort that fired fake canons into water bombs near the boat like I mentioned previously. That's shown on an old map near where Woodstock Express is, but I can't recall where it was exactly.

^ That's where I figured he would go. It only makes sense considering the Sci-Fi theme. I think they may have been inspired by the fact they put the crashed U.F.O. prop near the Coasters restaurant in the past.

I just read the new blog... I find it interesting that there will be 2 "Ghostbusters" references in this year's Halloweekends... both a Ghostbusters themed float in the MMIC parade, and a giant Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man behind the Alien Cafe... My guess is that we will be getting both of these and that it will actually serve as a promotion for the new Ghostbusters video game....

I wonder if they will serve Ecto Cooler?... ;)

EDIT: I just found this article and it sounds like the Ecto-1 car is scheduled to be at Knott's from Oct 15-Nov 1... so I'm guessing we will just get the inflatable, and something else will be used for the float. Either way it's a plug for the video game...
