Halloweekends Announcement August 28th

With lots of RRRs maybe that could mean a rail road attraction as well.... Six flags did a rail road tour haunt skit one year.

Moving on, I wasn't planning any more trips this yearRRrrrrrr, but the idea of being able to go through a haunt on Millennium Island is so tempting... We'll see if the mighty seas carry me back to CP so I can dodge Davy Jones' LockerrrRRrrrrr this year.

Oh yeah, and metal fog machine boxes & the control panel box were in place in the Frontier Trial for its transformation into The Fright Zone - woohoo! Let's see a man-made fog bank show up on weather radar in the shape of the Cedar Point peninsula :)

I previously stated that I do not think that Millie Island is ready to have guests walking through.It seems that they would have started working on that already. But, a haunted boat ride does sound about right to me. Well, we will find out for sure in about 50 hours or so.

I also rode Millennium Force on this past Monday, and there is quite a bit of pirate themeing already up on the island. It looked to me, although I was racing through the area pretty fast, that this attraction will be on foot on the island. There looked like pathways already set up (with netting on either side of the dirt road in there), and much of the themeing looked like it wouldn't be seen from the boat, as it was angled inward toward the island. So I'm guessing that there will be some sort of Haunt on the island, which will be by foot.

^ - that description makes it sound more like it is on par with Werewolf Canyon rather than Fear Faire or CarnEvil.

And more on par with awesome, as well. :)

If it is more on par with Werewolf Canyon the only downside will be there will probably be a line to get through it as opposed to it just simply being a walk through zone like Fear Faire or Fright Zone.

^^^^^ All that stuff was on MF Island when I rode on Monday (may not be where the photo was taken). Props resemble Cornstalkers at KI Halloween Haunt. The sails they have up that aren't in that photo. The masts are stuck into the ground. Whateverrrrr it is it's gonna be cool.

I just want to see Tony drive that HalloWeekends hearse thru the parade like John Belushi in Animal House :)

The hearse followed me this morning from the back of the park to the front, all the way around Perimeter Rd.

It wasn't Tony though.

I believe that is located under the first turn on Millennium with the picture being taken from the Train.

when i was at the park earlier i noticed that there appears to be preparations for a haunted walk through attraction on one side of hurricane hannas. also upon further investigation it appears that to get to millennium island there will be a bridge from the paddle wheel boat station crossing the lagoon and onto the island.

There are more additions and changes than I expected. I was wondering what would happen to CarnEvil now the Planet Snoopy is there. Looks like plenty of good stuff. Some things were gettin a little stale. It looks like two of my favorites Tim Hill and the King Dapper Combo won't be back, but the Trio of Terror will be. Two new walk throughs and plenty for all ages. I'm pretty excited over the changes.

Whats new is not showing up for me.
