A screamster from the past few years, who will also be there this year, said they are making a pirate themed haunt on millenium island. The reference to the "R"s seemed to fit that idea, in my opinion. I do not know for a fact that he is a "reliable" source so I tried to make that clear in my post. I am giving him the benefit of the doubt.
Maybe they're pirates who roamed Lake Erie hundreds of years ago, got shipwrecked and died on the peninsula and now haunt millennium island. Anything can fit a theme with a back story.

Q: Where do pirates like to eat?
A: RRRRby's
You can't go wrong with pirates. The recent success of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies with the supernatural undead slant helps in the GP's mind. I still have an original Dead Men Tell No Tales model kit from the 70's. 'Buccaneer Bones' was good costume in recent years. Pirates and Halloween makes sense to me.
^ It wasn't much of a pirate theme either-rrrrr. It was mainly the costumes more-so than the set decor that made it seem so. The Halloween Haunt Conga lines I can do without. I'm glad they don't do that at CP. And I hope they won't.
I should say I don't know if it will be a pirate theme at HalloWeekends myself. I'm just playing along. I'll wait 'til Tony Cla-RRRRk tells us on the 28th.
But I do know what the new show will be but I ain't tellin'. Although, Riddle me this Batman: Monsters Rock! will resemble Miss Molly, Maverick & the Monsters Unleashed! only with more cowbell :)
Since they've confiscated the building for the former Pirate Ride, is it possible they had/found some old pirate stuff left over from when the ride was operational? Does anyone know what might have been in there besides general storage?

Arr matey, I wouldn't say they confiscated anything. They may have looted the building, and probably comadeered several props to be used with the new Halloweekends attraction. Confiscate, that be too big of a word to use with me pirates.
