Can I just say one thing? I am tired of everyone comparing CP to DISNEY. I know Mr. Ouimet used to be a Disney exec, but why does everyone want the park to be just like Disney? We also don't need games in line. The line is built along the beach, why cant people just learn to put down electronics for once, and stop to smell the roses? bring your ipods if you need to have extra entertainment.....

Maybe cool weather/Lake Erie winds will keep the weak minded away ;)

Miss Maverick- I somewhat agree with you. I don't understand why people feel like they need tech around them 24/7. Disney's interactive queues are very well done on the other hand. I think a great view of the beach and a great look at Gatekeepers drop will keep me entertained.

There's obviously something else going on. Tony said it's not that big but it's cool for Cedar Point so I'm more interested to find out exactly what that is.

This is a possibility. Maybe Cedar Point doesn't want to release a POV until the harder wheels are added onto the coaster and it is running full speed.

I'll take a stab in the dark and guess that Gatekeeper will be filmed for a roller coaster special to air on Discovery or Travel Channel. They could easily recruit employees to fill the trains and the vast majority of site work will be done by May 6th, which I'm sure is preferable for a more-polished POV video.

This aligns with the "not a big deal, but cool for Cedar Point" comment.

I mean I know Cedar Point gets filmed all the time by Travel Channel and other networks, but I can't see the park saying that is not a big deal. Having your park and new coaster on national TV is always a big deal, no matter how many times it's been filmed.

That picture on the front page makes me think it may be on-board video similar to what Raptor had.

Maybe they're jumping on the B&M backwards bandwagon with Gatekeeper. ;)

By the way, I did show the POV to a few people "on the inside" and here's a little funny moment: every single person, and I mean EVERY single person that's seen the video tilts their heads to the right when it goes over the lift (the camera was on the outer-left seat).
