I think this was last year...
Cedar Point, Americas rip- rockin', high flyin', sky defyin', record breakin' roller coast
Actually, and I'm just taking a guess (by peeking at the copyright in the lower corner of the photo), it is from 2004.

^Damn you and your hasty fingers.
As seen on the bottom right corner, it is indeed from 2004.

I could have been wrong, but I thought I saw the statue last year but that time it was facing Raptor. I think they made a replica of the statue, but again I could be wrong.
Cedar Point, Americas rip- rockin', high flyin', sky defyin', record breakin' roller coast
I think the headstone may have an outline of her (but again I could be completely wrong), but I'm pretty sure the actual figure is gone for good.
Goodbye MrScott

I think what the park did with her for Halloweekends was pretty cool, having her all decked out in black like she was at a funeral for a ride or something...
oh, wait. ;)

Owner, Gould Photography.
SS is to the Cedar Point sky line like the Effiel Tower is to Kings Island. I don't think it's going anywhere. Since I can remember thats the first thing I always spotted first.
Don't mess with SS. My best memories of being a kid is being the first one in the car to spot the 'needle'. It was the tallest ride in the park. I have no idea why we actually call it the needle, was it ever called that? Of course my sister and I started looking for it somewhere near Vermilion, OH. Anyway, The SS, Giant Wheel and Train are still the image of CP for me. If anything, make it a 600 ft observation ride so you can look down on TTD. (Yes I know this is not practical so don't bother telling me that)

After reading the initial post, I had to give SS a ride today. Here is what I found:
The windows were crystal clear, glistening in the sun and not a mufflehead on them. The coast of Lake Erie is often taken over by muffleheads in the early summer, but this year they have not been too bad at all...
The recorded spiel was not very loud at all - In fact, I found the recorded message much easier to understand than most of the 'gentle' ride spiels at Cedar Point.
The AC was not working and in the afternoon sun, the cabin was a little warm, but not too bad.
The cabin was definitely spinning and provided a perfect view of Cedar Point.
Overall, it was a perfect ride, as was every other ride I've taken on SS.
I firmly believe SS is a Cedar Point signature ride that is not going anywhere anytime soon...

That skyride cabin is there every year.
Didn't they have a WWL log there one year?
Yes I do know the Skyride cabin is there every year but last year it sat in the middle of the ride cemetery. I do not remember ever seeing a WWL log anywhere.
