You PointBuzz dudes do an excellent job of keeping us up-to-date on everything and posting all of these cool ORIGINAL photos. I can't believe someone would accuse you of stealing pics. It's so obvious to me that you're not. When you share an official CP photo, you clearly state that. Keep up the great work!
We are lucky to have Walt, who always gives us updates on things at the park. Not all websites have someone who is willing to post photos showing detailed updates like Walt gives, as well as the facebook page showing inside the construction site and frequent changes that is run by an unknown person who happens to be a cool guy. Some parks don't even have forums at all, just their website with a few crappy photos of current rides, and if they add a new ride, you have to look at guests' photos on facebook :)
Yeah, I'm at least partially to blame.

Sounds like a plan! Maybe we can have a Pointbuzz party at Castaway Bay for Christmas while were at it. That's all up to Walt and Jeff though. Great photo updates! Although I'm confused about something. In one of the pictures, they show the upper part of the old Main Entrance gone, but are they done yet or are they going to remove all those ticket booths as well?
The ticket booths will go away. A new structure will be on the right, perpendicular to the gate.

Because they're no good for making oxygen or anything!

Something I noticed from a rendering photo, it looks as though picnic shelter #3 (look at your 2012 souvenir map) will be relocated to the area behind the current season pass center. Also will there be anything left of picnic shelter #1 (next to main gate bathrooms)? Any confirmation on this? Also after emailing the park recently about saving the LED screen by the 2nd gate, I've heard from director of planning to be on the lookout for multiple LED screen's next year up front. I can't figure out where they will place these, we'll see.
BTW, hopefully this will be the end of the "tree talk". Please look closely at the renderings page (Aug.13th; by the old DT demolition photos, namely the 7th of 7/last rendering photo on the link from the main page, I'm pretty confident CP will be planting 16 new trees in the new main gate plaza for next year. Now on to something else....
Don't look into the renderings so closely, they are only there to give an idea of what the ride will look like. If you expect the real thing to look like the rendering you will be disappointed, just look at Maverick's renderings compared to the real thing.

I wonder where the flag poll will be moved to? If at all.
I'll be Coasting for Kids on June 9th

what I learned about planting trees: When the park cuts down medium to large trees, they are usually replaced with very small bush-like shrubs you can buy at the garden center, or saplings you find at a tree farm, no taller than me. (I'm 5'6") Unfortunately, in about 20 years or so, they would have grown to be medium sized, but it takes several decades for them to grow huge and provide shade.
So....for now, my CP friends, you'll have to enjoy baby saplings in the midways, and don't forget to bring sunscreen :)
