Seriously though, if there's construction for ANYTHING and there are trees being removed, 100% of the time it's for some kind of reason.
Well, yeah. The problem is that sometime the reason seems to be "you know, we could shave 4 days off the construction schedule if we remove every tree on site rather than only the ones that sit in the attraction's footprint."

The reality is that CP is not really known for its charm...
And at one time, CP was not known for their roller coasters.

I have to ask why this website is stealing pictures from that Facebook page and claiming them as it's own with the PointBuzz watermark.
You need to take a better look at photos before you start throwing out accusations. I can promise you those are not the same pictures. I can also promise you we got the OK from the park before we used them.
Come on. You insult my IQ by saying they are different. I will admit there is one different one, and that's the one from behind the flag poles, however;

Is just this picture zoomed in more:

Who else could have predicted this tree discussion months ago after watching the video and computer renderings for Gatekeeper? I know I sure could.
As far as charm goes, I'm of the opinion that while maybe not being "known for it", CP does possess quite a bit of charm. With 2 of 3 closest parks to me being SFoG and the former SFKK, a little charm goes a long way. I feel both of those parks fall (or fell in the case of SFKK) well below CP.

Listen, troll. Do yourself a favor and step away. Do not come in here and insult my integrity.

Yeah, zoomed in as in Walt stood in a similar spot and took a more zoomed in picture than what is posted on facebook. Should I go through and point out the differences for you?

Seriously. Pick a few points in each picture and play "spot the differences". There are tons to choose from.

Go troll somewhere else.
Pyro, you insult our intelligence when you are 100% certain on this or that, when as of lately you are 100% wrong.

While I hate making this analogy because I am not a fan of the Survivor series, but how much animosity does one have to create before being voted off the peninsula? This kind of crap has been his MO since day 1.

We tolerate a lot of unwarranted douchebaggery on here, probably more than we should. Accusing one of us of IP theft is not something we will tolerate. We were doing this when you were living with your parents. You're getting dangerously closed to being bounced, and I'm not sure anyone would miss you.

In your second example pyro, for one you can tell the angle is different simply by looking at the leaning palette in the background.
Didn't have to wait to long for him to be bounced. And Jeff, your right I don't miss him.

Sure, but I'm guessing in this case, the whole area (entrance plaza) is slated for some new landscaping. So it makes sense to have all the old trees removed to make way for a new look. It's obviously not as big a deal as it would be if it was somewhere in the park itself. But my point is I highly doubt they'd leave the area barren. We'll just have to wait and see.
And at one time, CP was not known for their roller coasters.
Yea, but that was once upon a time. My only point is that what's done is done and what's in the past is in the past. I'll argue that Cedar Point still has a charm to it even if it's not the same charm as in the past. But we as enthusiasts have to also accept that some changes may not exactly be to our liking.

Great pics! Does anyone know why they didn't just completely run the building over? It kind of seems like they are trying to keep it clean.
