The picture looks like someone was inspecting/doing work on one of the sheave trains on the Sky Ride towers.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

Are they going to remove the main gate completely or just remodel it? The webcam makes it look like they will just remodel it/add the keyholes.... Or are they completely razing it?
It will be completely removed. The new gate will have just turnstyles and no booths for the ticket collectors.
I am not talkin about the booths- I know that its almost gone- I'm talking about the current front gate that has just the turnstiles that the ride is supposed to go through. It is still intact.

Where are people going to buy tickets? And where did you get this info? If you are looking at the animation, you can't 100% trust it. It is just a "rough draft".

Opening Day 2015 : Rougarou - Front Seat!
Ask Jeff, Walt or anyone else that's been paying attention. Both entrances will be removed. There will be a new entrance that will have just the turnstiles. Most people buy their tickets online so that's why they're removing the booths. For the people that don't buy online, there will be kiosks located on the side that will sell the tickets.

Yes, that is what we all originally thought, but according to the cam the existing front gate (the one with just the turnstiles) is still intact and looks as if it won't be removed. I was just wondering if we will see this gate remodeled to include the keyholes or completely raised. It just seems like it would've been removed by now if indeed the front gate is going to be completely rebuilt.
It seems like that will just be remodeled rather than removed. I'm referring to the turnstile entrance here. If you look at the animation, you can see that the Entrance as a slanted looking roof to it. Whatever happens, I hope they bring back the LCD screen that was seen before you enter the park. I always enjoyed seeing that before they scanned my pass.
This has all been talked about, maybe even in this thread. They just haven't demolished everything yet. It's been said they're using people where they need to right now and the front entrance doesn't need to be demolish now. It has also been said the new entrance will have plenty of those LCD screens.
I know none of this for sure, but I'm pretty sure all of this has already been stated by Jeff. The cam is no indication of anything right now.

How many days till the ride opens? Just over 170 days you say? And they don't have EVERYTHING done after 21 days of being closed to the public? Well, I guess that must mean they're slow or something.......::rolls eyes::
Joking aside, some of you really need to get a better grasp of construction time frames. The turnstiles will be gone in due time.....don't worry. It's safe to say they have other things to focus on instead of getting every last thing demolished that's on the wreck list. My guess is the resulting demolition of the turnstile entrance would create an unnecessary mess with whatever work is going on in that area right now.
And I'd say they still have a good while to go till track work reaches that area. My guess is they still have weeks till they "need" to demolish the turnstiles, create the footers and put up the supports for the fly over track sections.
Have a little faith in who's heading construction for Gatekeeper. I'm sure it's not their first rodeo. :)

I guess they were focused on the lift hill because they put the first piece of it in today.

They weren't taken today. At points during my uneventful day, I actually checked the cam a few times (just because) and there was no action on site. Those pics are from yesterday.

I have full confidence in CP's ability to build this thing--- I was just sparking some discussion as to the possibility that the front gate may be remodeled as opposed to rebuilt. I suppose it doesn't really matter- either way I'm excited ...
^^
Thanks Adam, I didn't think they worked on a Sunday. I didn't think any construction company worked on Sunday. That really confused me.
Construction can happen on Sunday. Though it would normally be double time.
