Okay, maybe not tear it down but at least start using it more than they do. My way of thinking about things is if you are not using something, either start using it our get rid of it because it is just a waste of space.
This might be better for a seperate thread, but I'd like to see some of the food places and their operations actually modernized and brought up to best practices within the industry. How many more times do I have to wait in a long line, get to the register, order, pay, and then have that same person have to go and get my drink, then stand there and wait before going to get my food, bringing it back and handing it to me. Or have 25 people running back and forth inside a stand made for half that number trying to figure out which one knows how to fill a cheese dispenser.
Look at how a place like the BBQ place at one of the Busch parks operates. Get in a queue, go through, get your salad, your entree, your desert or whatever you want, and pay. The busy/popular eateries will have more than one queue/buffet. They can have one open during slow times and two or three during the busy times.
Or look at how a Chipotle or Qdoba work. Simple and tasty items kept fresh and easy to serve quickly.

I'm surprised Cedar Point doesn't have more eating places like the one you described at Busch Gardens around the park. That's how the setup is in the employee cafeteria.
Another considerable issue with the ballroom is the lack of sprinklers. Or HVAC. ADA access is probably the easiest problem to fix.

I was going to say sprinklers, but for as much time as I spend in there, I couldn't recall if it had them or not.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
the park tweeted this awesome shot of the entrance

Question to anyone who can answer this. What is the purpose of the metal bars? Are they going to have an LED banner on the back as well as the front?
The ones in this picture

I think they look like gates that come down to close the park off.

This is what I mean. They look like these

If you REALLY strain your eyes you can make out the grill in the picture of the front gate. It's easiest to see on the left side.

That's most likely what they are. I just hope they don't hang like that all the time.

I think they look more permanent and are in a fixed position. My guess is that they will be more LED screens, but who knows. Maybe it will end up being a gate.

Hmmmm... for some reason the post about the parks tweet wasn't showing up for me before. Now I doubt my theory of them being gates.

Did anyone else happen to notice that on the cam for the station. they have multiple poles in the area surrounded by pavers. Does the larger one look to almost be in the same spot as Space Spiral? Maybe it will have something on it. Seems kinda odd to me.
Firemen never die, they just burn forever in the hearts of the people whose lives they saved
That's just metal wall framing. Probably just to hang more of that paneling along the back side of the entrance.
They're for a shade area. Look at the last picture of this page.

I passed along a suggestion a few months ago for Cedar Point to indicate the spot where Space Spiral once stood with a marker. Something simple like a survey marker as a subtle nod to the history (along the lines of Mr. Toad on The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh) Here's to hoping that will happen.
It would be a nice node to the past if they made a working model of it with the red gondola going up and down that pole.
