Front Gate Destruction/Construction

On a side note, one of the many goals of PointBuzz v3 is to make it easier for users to discover news and information. We tweeted the Windseeker news as soon as John said it on Saturday, but unless you follow us on Twitter, you would never know. We're going to improve that, fo shore.

I'm assuming that this is to prevent butthurtness and trolls in the future? :)

Another website I visit daily is www.videogamesawesome.com they do really well produced live let's plays and announce live shows via twitter. Whenever they send out a tweet, it also shows up in a sidebar on the main page. Something like that here would be nice

Right now they are all at PAX East and lots of fans of the show are there too and meeting up, so everyone is using a hash tag to communicate because twitter messages can be sent out in sms to cell phones and data at the convention center is spotty. So right now on the front page they have a feed of their hashtag that fans of the show are using to announce meetups and discuss the show.

Much better use of twitter than "had burgers and fries #lunch"

So I was reviewing old pictures on Cedar Point's Facebook page before GateKeeper was officially announced. I came across this "rendering". Can anyone see that the "New" front gate is visible in this photo. Part of the right keyhole tower can be seen also.

(The link is right below this post)

That's neat Jordan! I cannot believe I missed that update on Facebook. Oh well, for those who did see that, they probably knew we were confirmed of getting a front gate make-over. ;)

Yes, you could probably go back far enough and see my post about how that confirm s we're getting a new front gate.

I remember that picture. As soon as I saw it I got really excited since it pretty much confirmed the rumors that were going around about a new gate/entrance area. Plus it made me think there might actually be part of the ride that flies over the entrance. That rendering sort of gave things away, but it was still fun to see the actual reveal of GK that included all the details. Also, remember how someone was able to access GK's website early? Somehow they were able to see it and check out the renderings of it before it was even announced. Hopefully the park won't have a blooper like that again!

Cedar Point accidentally released the site early. Anybody could of seen it. Unfortunatly, that happens often these days.

Looks like they are very close to pouring concrete at the Front Gate area.

^ Hopefully it doesn't snow anymore this week so they can pour it. :)

Actually its supposed to warm up a little this weekend.

They are pouring the concrete this morning. Multiple trucks. Wonder how many it takes?

I should ask Mr. Owl some math questions then, he might be able to help me the next time I take a test. ;) Anyway though, did they finish pouring concrete up by the carousel? Also have they done any concrete pouring on the other side yet?
