Amen brother!
While I did not keep an official tally throughtout the day I was keeping an eye out for water cups yesterday. Throught the course of 11 hours I did not see many at all. I guess the GP is really up in arms about these small glasses to the point where they refuse to use them.:)

As a matter of fact, (I may be wrong) I don't even think there are any drinking fountains near the bathrooms at the front gate. If that's the case, people that have to rush to a bathroom first thing(says you), are s.o.l if they are thirsty.
The fountain is right in the middle of the midway, on the front-gate side of the Skyride building. "You can't miss it." Usually pretty cold, but there seems to be a recurring problem with the drain.

Dave - quit telling everyone about the secret water fountains! Now that everyone knows about it there will always be a line there! And whatever you do don't mention the one by the basketball hoop game across from Gemini. Although I like the new dual fountain station there this year.
Ok, yeah you can go to a drinking fountain. That is true, but how many drinking fountains do you see in line? Zero.. Nice big cups of free ice water might do good in a 2 hour line.
Let's Get Weird.
There are drinking fountains in lots of the lines.

There are?
Where?
I am gonna keep bitching about it, because I don't like it. If you don't mind, then good for you. It's something I don't like, and if people don't show any dislike for things they don't agree with...well, things will never change.
I know where most of the fountains are, but whats your point?
I was almost done complaining about it, untill you chimed in.
If you have been reading the whole thread, then you would know that it is about more than just the ice water. It's a combination of a buch of thing's and this is yet just another.
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Maybe, but you're clinging to, and continually whining about, this relative non-issue of cups for free water. As I said before, if it really bothers you that much, stop going to the damn park!
Whining about it here isn't going to have any impact on the situation at all.
Brandon
I don't like it.
Why don't you get over it? Why should me complaining about something I do not like bother you so much? Nobody is making you look at this thread.
Like I said, it may be a non issue to YOU, but it is to me.
I am going to continue to go to the park(just not as often), but I will not spend my money there.....simple as that. Cedarpoint's loss.

Really? Its an issue for you? I would have never guessed...
Has Mr. Kinzel called you to apologize and set things straight yet?
ADDED:
And I'm interested in the relevant subjects in this thread - overall value perception, comparison to other entertainment options, etc. You know, stuff that matters.
Brandon
Again,
It may not matter to YOU.
Please stop your whining about it.

I remember water fountains (unless they've been taken out) in Raptor, Magnum and Mean Streak lines. Iron Dragon too IIRC.

Oh yeah. I'm actually not an advocate of water fountains in the lines. When people stop there is always the "I need to get back to my group" crowd and it is just chaotic.
But, the same thing happens with beverage sales in line so I guess it doesn't make a difference.

There are no water fountains in any of the queues that I'm aware of.
It would be super awesome if some of you would stop with the "stop whining/bitching/complaining" comments. We don't need that kind of dicketry, and you're not adding anything to the discussion. If you disagree, then disagree and make your case.

Dicketry?
Hmm...I must be mixing up my memories. I could swear I remembered sidestepping people stopping for water in queue lines. Different park perhaps?

Disney puts water fountains in their queues. Cedar Point once had drink stands in the queues for Avalanche Run, Iron Dragon, Magnum and Mean Streak. Then the labor market got really tight and those drink stands turned into rows of vending machines. I think Mantis:TCFKAB and Power Tower both opened with vending machines.
Personally, I wish the water fountains had spigots on them for filling bottles. The drinking nozzle is at a bad angle for filling a bottle, and it's a real hassle for people like me who just want to get a swig of water to wait behind a line of people trying to get their little bottles filled and spilling most of the water right down the drain......
(Why not? i've been in parks where there were ground level fountains for dogs...)
