Designated Smoking Areas

Smoking in line is a HUGE no no. You either complied/didn't know, or you didn't listen and were asked to leave the line. I can remember asking a few people to leave a line after I saw them light up AFTER I had already asked them.

Won't happen. Higher-ups have decided that they don't even want to cite people for bigger offenses. They just boot them off property. Sad, but the view of the administration is that they only can spend money in the park. A slap on the wrist is all they get.

That really depends on where you live. That may work here in the Midwest, but in California, for example, it doesn't.

I have a friend who is a police officer. When he is writing someone a ticket or arresting someone, he never complains about them smoking. As soon as they throw the cigarette on the ground he ad's a littering charge.

As well he should.

Also, it's typically considered bad practice to quote someone in your reply when their post is so near yours. Either trim the quote to contain only what is absolutely necessary, or (in this case) don't quote at all.

Has anyone mentioned Hot Dog-on-A Stick? I would love to see one of those in the park.

How is adding more areas going to help? Are you a smoker? Perhaps thats why you said that.

It's not our fault that those who complain against too few areas are too lazy to walk themselves to a smoking area. IF you don't like it, either quit smoking, or don't go at all. Plain and simple.

Furthermore, the people who smoke and are too lazy to walk, probably are the same people who can't walk to a trash can to throw away trash. Same concept.

Edit: I also thought of another point. If we add another area because x amount of people complain, then we'll add another, and another. Doing that takes us right back to every other season at CP.

I never once stated that I was complaining against those who complained. I'm making a point that those who smoke should be thankful for what they got. Cedar Point could go entirely smokeless. Then what?

To say someone is too lazy to walk to a cerified smoking area is absurd, mainly due to the fact that you are at CP and all you do is walk.

I am a smoker and I have not yet formed an opinion in this, I am waiting to see the following

1: How well it is enforced

2: If stoping at a smoke stop is really that cumbersome

3: If CP decides to add or subtract to the amount of areas available.

This does bother me somewhat but if thats what it takes to be at CP then thats that.
