Designated Smoking Areas

In regards to XS NighClub's opinion that my opinion is "wrong," I disagree.

In regard to the scientific observation that the sun is hot, I disagree.

Maybe the reason SV was built instead of a 500ft coaster was the smoking areas were taking up all the land. Or they could build more shops and food stands they can't staff! Sigh.

The park has the right to ban smoking, I'm not arguing that. However banning it all together won't solve the "Issue".

I'm a smoker and getting into a defensive mode about it is a losing battle. I just feel like there's a good compromise in place already and those that don't follow it now still won't when it's banned park wide. Essentially punishing those that do follow the rules.

Generally on vacation people like to let go and relax. Part of that can include having a smoke. Regardless of my view on the issue it's likely that down the road it will be banned park wide.

And when it is, people will be searched at the gates, and anyone found carrying cigarettes will be asked to return them to their cars, like any other banned goods. Simple.

Searching people at the gate? For cigarettes? That's funny.

"Perfect" is the enemy of "good". Just because a ban wouldn't result in 100% compliance doesn't mean a ban wouldn't be a smart move.
