If you look at aerial photos, there is more room than you think. First off, remove Demon Drop and the pavilion/bathroom next to it, and it's a pretty large area for a substantial ride. Then, remove Chaos and then move/relocate kiddie dodgem and sir rub-a-dub tubs, and you can easily fit in a coaster such as a larger Sierra Sidewinder. Not starting any coaster rumors...just stating facts.
I hope they do not remove it. It is still a fun ride. I like putting a penny on my knee and watching it float. It would be awesome on millie island but I do not see them moving it.

I do not think they could remove those bathrooms, they are busy. I think alot of families use them after long car rides. There is still a good amount of space over there as you have said.
Peace, Mikey

I remember my first ride on Demon drop. It was in its first year and they would give a free t-shirt for the first 100 riders for the first week or so. I was only 9 years old and petrified of that huge metal contraption!!But hey I couldn't pass up a free t-shirt!! I was so proud of that shirt. If only I could wear it again. lol May be a little tighter now but I'd be sooo cool!!lol
What I remember about Demon Drop, Opening Year, is the full queue lines, wrapping around to the bathrooms, and every 10 to 15 minutes, the darn thing would break down, and a ride operator would have to run all the way up those stairs to talk to the people stuck at the top. After a while, over a loud speaker you would hear, we are dropping you in 3, 2, 1, and the car dropped.
I never had the pleasure of being stuck up at the top. :)
GATEKEEPER-I came, I rode, I was mildly disappointed; until a second ride (rear left) put GateKeeper back on the...it's a nice ride list.
Minor Demon Drop anecdote. Last week at KI, I was sitting at the former Paramount Gardens, gazing up at the Eiffel Tower and daydreaming. I watched as an elevator rose up to the observation deck. For a split second, I expected it to slide forward and free fall to the ground. I did a double take when it didn't.

Deamon Drop is the only ride of its kind left in north america i think, most other parks demolished theirs, as seen in this video:

According to Screamscape, 1st Gen Intamin Freefall rides were a complete waste of resources and too expensive to maintain. There is no market out there to even buy these rides any longer and simply put, the rides are more valuable when sold as scrap metal than as a functioning ride these days. So Six Flags demolished their remaining four models over the last 16 months
