Demon Drop for Sale!

ROFLMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First of all, I did not say that they were the same thing, I said they were virtually the same thing. And whether they are different or not is not the point. Point is Power Tower gets a line. It gets more riders. Demon Drop, as much as I like it, does not.

As far as the "promise" goes. I'd like to know where you all heard that it was simply implied. I have many ride-op friends that work there and are friends with the people that would know, and though not 100%, it's pretty much a guarantee that there will be something big by 2007. CP is due. They let another park have the record for what will be 2 years next summer. As is their style, they have something planned and it will be big, whether promised or not, its going to happen. Security at planning and development has been crazy lately, pretty sure they are going to pull something big, really big.

Trust me, I wish it were fact too.

With the future of the "Demon Drop" being uncertain, I have decided to make a tribute page. Demon Drop may not be back next year and I know many people will not be able to get back to ride it again. Enjoy. :)

I will be going once for Halloweekends, so hopefully I can get a few rides in.

Did anyone notice that Mr. Hyde's is no longer listed on the website, but DD is still there? I assume they sold the one, but not the other - Yet.

does anyone think the webcam on the midway is there because once the demon drop is removed they can simply turn the camera onto that area to show deconstruction/ ride addition or whatever.. there really is no other reason that camera is there I mean it just shows an empty midway... hardly worth looking at.. even rarely.. pretty boring shot.. anyone here maybe possibly agree??

The new view is there to give a different outlook on the offseason. Once the park is open, that webcam will be very cool looking.

I like the new cam. Sure, its boring, but it will allow us to see the park transition through the fall/winter/spring. Could actually provide some cool time-elapsed shots, if we get really bored.

Ill buy the thing. ill put it in my back yard

So a camera pointing at an idle roller coaster is a better shot?

On the ride sale website, Mr Hyde's isn't listed anymore but DD is still available. Let's hope we can enjoy DD for at least one more season. *** Edited 11/18/2005 8:12:58 PM UTC by DemonDroppin'***

The Amazement Park

I was able to find Mr. Hyde's on the website. For whatever reason it is listed under the roller coaster section of the website.

I have a dumb question? If there is no sale on Demon Drop before 2005 ends, will we see Demon Drop in 2006?

CP did say they wouldn't remove it if nobody buys it, so yeah probably.

Tony spoke at the NEO ACE Winter Celebration and the same question was asked. It has not sold yet. If it doesn't sell before next season, it will stay right where it is. A follow up was asked, "If it sells in the middle of the season, will it remain til the end of that season or will they start taking it out right away." Tony responded by saying he didn't know.

Sometime in the last couple weeks, Demon Drop's listing was removed from Ital's site.

The listing number was 565. Lots of times when something sells, it will still be listed with a note stating it was sold. Make of it what you will.

MAybe they will just scrap Demon Drop! They might also just move it to another Cedar Fair Park.

I don't really understand why Chaos and Demon Drop are for sale. How are they going to fit a new and improved ride in those spots?
