I defiently have to disagree with dating within the crew has always bad. I worked at camp snoopy last year and met an incredible girl there. We began dating and now we are happily engaged, so dont believe all u hear it can be good u just have to work at it :)
If you're responsible with your work and your feelings and they don't interfere with work, of course you can date. If you can't handle that, then don't.

Kinda simple.

Again, just have as much fun as you can! You will cherish your summer at CP for life!
I met my boyfriend at CP and we have been together for a year and a half. The hardest part about the whole situation of dating someone from CP is the off season. When we are not in Sandusky we are about four hours apart most of the time. Getting to see each other takes planning ahead of time. But if you love each other the way we do, it can work.

But as for dating someone on the same crew, I think it is a horrible idea.

"Why do you have to be a purse Nazi?"

Hey all~ I had a blast lastyear! Just kinda made my rounds. I cuddled w/ a guy from my crew... that was fun. we are great friends now and talk all the time. Then I met the guy of my dreams from here... and who knows what will happen with him! So I wouldn't suggest inner crew dating.... It gets hard at times... but have fun.. be yourself and all will be good! :)

It has been announced! I'm on Millennium Force Crew for the 2003 season!

I am repeating myself; if you do want to date several folks at the same time, simply be honest about it and let the other person decide if they want the same type of thing. That way you do not have to carry any guilt becuase you had a warning label! Its no fun to be caught holding hands walking down the frontier trail by the girl that you were supposed to go out with later that nite...It is much easier to simply be honest!
i agree with Redbri guy over there..because thats the best idea and it would suck to be caught up in something like that...just dont expect too much out of it if your not givin too much into it i guess....

Some people pride themselves on being an Essex Girl, others find it insulting! I've been called in tongue in cheek like before, I dont care!
And if Scottish is indeed unmistakable, why did I spend half the summer convincing people I was NOT Irish, Australian (really common one) or English!? Although, as Tyler will tell you I lost some of it by the end of the summer! Dont worry, its back, stonger than ever!

When I was at university I dated a Scott. Thats why I say the accent is unmistakable. The wifes' accent is upper class/educated. Her former father in law has a definite working class accent as well as his g-freind.

I am sure that most yanks that you run accross will not have a clue although most everyone will love the accent as I am sure that you have found out! lol My wife still gets that after 2 yrs over here. I guess I am used to being surrounded by "red coats"!

I have found most brits to be very politically aware and somewhat wordly in their outlook; although they hate to be classed as european! If you compare that to the apathy that most americans show towards politics/voting/world events the contrast is rather startling. My wife is ceaseless in pointing that fact out. My sarcastic reply is that since the Big Green Machine (US military) is the biggest and baddest on the planet, since the US is easily the most productive nation on the planet, WHO CARES! lol

I do keep up with UK politics and the machinations of the government. I am amazed sometimes by their attitude about government in general. The wife is Tory and I love to twist her tail abit by spouting some Lib/Lab propaganda! She has mistakenly classed me (after 2 yrs no less) as a "wooly liberal" Probably because of my Libertarian outlook, just go to their website to find out LP.org. Yes I do have a predeliction for irrelevency but I thought you would enjoy some random thoughts! HF at CP!

Well I rather mistakenly thought that "Essex Girl" meant working class....Wrong again buckwheat! The meaning to her was "dumb blond" lol! Nice way to "break the ice", huh? I think that she was taken by the fact that I actually knew who/what; Blair, Benn, Foot, Thatcher,Wilson,Major, Mountbatten, Summer of discontent, Coal miners strike ect..were.

I have never been to the UK and have no real desire to go. Who in their right mind wants to swim in ice cold water and walk around in the rain! I will take sunny Pensacola Beach thank you very much. Yes I have been accused of being somewhat of a xenaphobe and I really dont mind!

Dating at Cedar Point is difficult.

Gay guys new to the park--pay attention: Learn about STD testing and condom use. It will last you in good stead throughout your life, and it will prevent some of the tragedy that beset some of my close friends while working and dating at the point.

Shepoopie!

I would recommend that to ANYONE, male or female, if they decide to become sexually active. It just does not pay not to take precautions.

I hope this advice is heeded. Remember it only takes one time!

Be kind to your friends girlfriend/boyfriend, they could be yours next week. Just some old carnival advice. Sorry, couldn't resist, cause carnival and CP life is not so different I am sure. :-)

Wasn't there a B-movie called "Carnies"?

Yes, there was. There is an on-going discussion of it over at MCW.
I'd say to not look to getting hooked up. If you have a hectic life already, CP should be a release from all that. Have a good time. If you do stumble into something and it goes sour, get out of it. Don't let one bad relationship ruin your summer. The kind of drama that goes on at CP is only relevant within cedar point, so don't let things like that get to you.
