I wasn't there, but a friend told me on Tuesday that a teenager dropped his basketball into the pond while waiting in line for Maverick. He proceeded by screaming "YOLO" and jumped in after it. Gross.
Let's Get Weird.
I can't believe people actually say "YOLO" non-ironically. I suppose carpe diem is too intellectually demanding.

Yesterday, while enjoying Toft's with my daughter-
Girl walking by: "Oh, Look, they have a Pink's store"
Her friend: "It's Pink's Hot Dog, not Victoria's Secret, you moron."
My daughter almost blew ice cream out of her nose when she heard that:)
Yesterday, in line for MF a girl was telling her sister, " MF has the tallest drop in the park, TTD is just steeper." when she said that I smiled and thought of this post!
At the park...
woman: I wanna ride one of those water rides...do they have good water rides here?
guy: yep....the log ride
woman: oh yeah! the one where you sit in the giant tube and control the wheel so you can make the boat go under the waterfall and get your friends wet.
guy: yep
This was last season actually. There was a group of guys walking towards Maverick:
Guy yells to all of them, extremely loudly "Hey, man..didn't Magnum used to be bigger?" While he points at Maverick.
I guess more than one red-ish coaster confuses people. Even though Magnum is an orange, correct? All he needed to do was walk a little ways and find the real Magnum..
Yes the Maverick pond jumper did happen! He seemed drunk because he was dancing and chanting in line and trying to make everyone clap with him. What's funnier is that after he swam around the pond (he had trouble finding an exit) he made his way back through the line and back to meet up with his friends. I feel bad for the wet seat that the next person in line got.
^So he was allowed to leave the line and reenter at the same point? Isn't that a violation of the line jumping policy? ;)
I bet he also smelled less than ideal after that swim.
*overhearing a couple when I worked Wicked Twister last year*
Guy: This used to have a brake on the back tower that held you there for a quick second. And it used to be red and blue.
Girl: I remember, this used to be Superman at Geauga Lake and then they moved it here
Guy: No, you must be thinking of a different ride then
Me: -___-
A friend from college at the park was there yesterday, he told me as follows:
In the midway, on a bench, mom and boy:
mom: "I told you to sit your butt down, stay down"
boy: "but I wanna ride the magnum"
mom: "sit your butt down"
boy: "can i sit on magnum, then?"
mom: "no, sit on this bench" she then talks on phone, says "daddy's in line for Raptor, ok honey, let's go sit by him on raptor"
Ok. So I was in line for TTD and this person in front of me obviously did not know his facts.
Guy - "I can't belive this ride is 1,700 feet tall!"
Girl - "Its only 1700 feet?"
Guy - "Oh wait. Its 2000 feet tall. It goes 1700 mph."
Girl - "Thats it!"

Opening Day 2015 : Rougarou - Front Seat!
Yesterday, on the stairs for the Mantis platform, a very touristy dressed mom to her 10-ish year old son: No, it can't go upside down, you're standing up.
