I was in line on Mine Ride with my cousin (She insisted I ride it with her) and some guy in line was being sarcastic and was like, "Who's ready for some gut wrenching fun!" And then he whispered to me "Note the sarcasm" And when we going up the hill my cousin got scared and a 40-something year old couple told her that someone fell off and died last year and she didn't believe them though. (:
This story doesn't count lol! Those pople weren't idiots they were just trying to scare your cousin, which makes what they said ok!
While walking by Ocean Motion on Saturday, this lady stopped and was starring at Ocean Motion. She proceeds to say, "Where did the Demon Drop go?". At first she said it calmly, then she started freaking out. She started yelling, "It was right here..... Right here." She then started using her arms to express that Demon Drop was "this big". She was still going on as I walked away, but I still got a good laugh out of it.
This came from my sister's friend. We were waiting in line for Blue Streak on Saturday(the 18th.)and we were talking about the ride. My sister's friend's boyfriend was saying that Blue Streak was an out and back coaster to which my sister's friend said 'what's that?' I told her that the design of the coaster is called an out and back because of how it runs first away from the station(out) and then comes toward the station(back). After I told her that it was like a light bulb came on in her head.
That's funny Wicked Twister Fan. I have the same kind of interaction with people as well. To most people who don't come that often, telling them terms like this confuses them which is funny.
Now on to me. I think I should be added to the crazy list of what people say. I'll just say this. I go to the park by myself a lot so I usually try to bring up a conversation with people. Whenever that happens, I don't know why people think I'm slow or something. Maybe I am I don't know. All I am trying to do is start up conversations.
The best thing ever in any line is the guy on Mavrick... I've seen youtube videos of him in line mostly on Mavrick but a few on Millie too. He always has a towl around his neck, always singing loudly and danceing to his Ipod... he had the whole line singing and chanting with him.. People are crazy but makes for an entertaining day!
anybody know who this guy is?
Halloweekends Screamster!
Fear Faire 2010-2011
I suspect it's the going-alone part. It seems as though people are more receptive and relaxed around another individual when he's accompanied by others.
I've experienced the same thing. People at parks tend to look at me rather oddly if I attempt to strike up a conversation while I'm alone. But start the exact same conversation with my daughter or a friend present, and it's a completely different outcome. It probably has something to do with the middle-aged-loner-guy-at-a-park thing as well.
Perhaps Kevin can shed some light on this?

I've seen him in the Millennium line before. It was actually really entertaining to watch him!

I came into work today, and I was telling different co-workers about my most recent trip to Cedar Point. One of co-workers who I'm great friends with out of no where asks me this funny question. "Do they still have the one merry-go-round that goes 90mph?" I told him that he was referring to Cedar Downs and no it doesn't go 90mph...lol. I kept talking to him, but I laughed at him for asking that.
