"I'd rather be a PUSSY than a DRAGON!"

Looks like Screamscape labled their post as "Cedar Point has a coaster for sale". At least they kept to the facts this time in the article.

I hope it is Wildcat, corkscrew or CCMR. If it were DT, they would probably just sell the coaster and gut the inside and still utilize it as a Halloween storage facility. :) Now wouldn't that suck, no coaster, but the building remains.

I also like the idea or tearing down the old CP dorms by Wildcat. That is a waste of space that I did not think of until it was pointed out. A nice B&M would fit there with the loading station and queue were Wildcat currently is.

You all realize Tony and Tyler do things other than the blog, right? You also realize they can't just spill their guts about everything, right? You also realize that they get bombarded with the same questions 10,000 times a day right? Please for the love of god, be nice to Tony and Tyler!

Wow, I didn't know I wasn't allowed to ask them a question. Oh, and I did more than ask them a question, I complimented them on the parade as well. No need to jump all over me, just thought it would be interesting to see their response to it.

You are aware that Cedar Point is a corporate park and Tony and Tyler cannot release any information until they are told they can. So all Ben was trying to say is, do not waste your time or their time by asking them questions on the Blog about what the next attraction will be or what this article is about. When the time is right we will all know.

I just emailed the same question to T&T 100 times. Wanna fight about it?

They will delete it 100 times also!

Hopefully next time you visit the park they hunt you down and break your fingers.

It's only humor if you think it is funny. The Dixie Chicks though it was funny...until their record sales plummeted, they were booed in front of audiences, and they dropped out of the ratings, and had to offer up apologies in order to win back some fans.

If you still like bush you should be sent to IRAQ to fight. That is what the Dixie chicks get for selling records to hillbillies.

sorry everyone, had to say it, I like many have family over there.

I still say why would they remove CCMR as it would be a huge hassle to move that ride somewhere else and it is not that great to begin with and it has some good history to it.. I think the coaster theory in the front of the park sounds more on right now.. DT can be replaced much easier.

I highly doubt it would be Corkscrew or even the Mine Ride. Don't forget, if i am right on this, Mine Ride was there first coaster to use tubular steel for the tracks, and Corkscrew of course was a world record breaker for them.

Actualy the first coaster with tubular steel tracks was the matterhorn bobsled ride built in 1959. Mine ride was built in 1969. You were right about the corkscrew being a record breaker though. It was the first coaster with 3 inversions.

I think he meant that Mine Ride was their first coaster to use tubular steel track.

lol! I love that episode.
"Yeah it's a trap door like in Hogan's Heroes, so what, wanna fight about it?" :)

Anyway, what if it is CCMR? Hercules at Dorney was demolished because of a low amount of interest from guests and because of the problems it had. Now I'm not saying that CCMR has major problems but isn't it low on the popularity chart? (Or is it doing alright?)

Of course, I'm not saying this means that CCMR is going...I just thought it was some food for thought.......

CP Mac, you can delete your posts, say if you make a duplicate. Anyway, has CP ever sold a ride before? I can't remember them doing so, but I've only been going to Cedar Point for the past few years.

Smoking Marijuana isn't a bad thing or even a good one, like everything else, its what you make of it.

coasterguy76, as stated before, keep the ignorant political rants off the boards.

If you want to make a comparison between Hercules and a coaster at CP, look at Mean Streak. Both wood, both ride's riderships went downhill soon after "improvements" to them. CCMR gave more rides last year than Mean Streak.

I was thinking about this today. If Cedar Creek Mine Ride went this season what I'd Like to see in it's place would be a nice new family ride. Maybe they can build a new Cedar Creek Mine ride with better hills, twists and turns. They wouldn't have to call it the old name either.

I was thinking about Disaster Transport today too. If that ride goes, look for the whole building to be bulldozed. You could put in a good size coaster along the beach in Disaster Transports spot. Maybe Cedar Point will put in a newer version of the classic cyclone in it's place. I think that would be a good trade, don't you think.

I also have a feeling if we are selling a coaster, look for Cedar Point to add 2 new coasters next season. I just have that hunch. Cedar Point wants to keep their Roller Coaster record so they'll probably give up a coaster to gain two more coasters.

DT -had it's time, now it's time to go

MeanStreak -it hurts me to see such a beautiful coaster give such lousy ride. ...and oil the track?!?

CCMR -wholly head choppers. I honestly think if I held my hands up and/or out at certain points during the ride, I'd have a serious problem. I still think it's beautiful, unique, fun, and worth keeping. But wouldn't affect me if it went.

Wildcat -honestly, one of my favorites! Besides the TTD launch, wildcat is the only other coaster that I can think of that makes my stomach tickle! Keep it!

That's not an entirely bad idea. But I think a coaster like Powder Keg: A Blast in the Wilderness would be neat in that area.
