It was still closed as of yesterday.

Chaos was all put together, and running tonight aroung 8:00 pm. They were NOT putting riders on , but it was put together complete with the Chaos sign in the center (which was on the ground this morning). Lights were all on, ride was spinning, so hopefully a good sign.
This could be the last year for this ride. If you look at the thread I started about all the new construction markings in that area, it may be chaos's last year.
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
^I actually hope not. I'm not a big fan of the spinning rides. Seems I can ride coasters all day with no trouble. I get on something that spins and have to worry about how much breakfast I ate before coming to the park. The kids and wife talked me on to Chaos last weekend and I really enjoyed it. It has a totally unique ride experience that was a nice change of pace.
CHAOS is my 3rd Best THRILL RIDE at the POINT. the last few weeks there hasn't been a car in the front part of the PARKING LOT by the DT. I am wondering what they are doing?
Has this ran at all this year. Walked by it twice over the weekend and it was not running. Been to the park 5 times this year and never saw it run. Kinda wanted to ride it again, never know it may not be there next year.

Yea we actually kinda already do know whether or not it'll going to be in the park next year. :)

The ride wasn't running Memorial Day Weekend or this weekend for sure (only times I actually paid attention).
Chaos was not running the pasted weekend.
Quote from a Corkscrew ride op, "And Dragster is down again"
This has been running during September/August months.
I'm not sure why it wasn't running the past week...
I also noticed that it was closed on sunday, but the background lights were on.

It didn't open the couple first weeks of the season. However, Chaos has been open all year except for a few periods where it was down. It seem edto have had more than usual amounts of downtime this year. It was open a couple weekends ago and had longer than normal lines.

I appreciated the fact that CP had a sign at the entrance of the ride saying "This ride is currently closed." I wonder if anyone actually walked past and said "hey, lets ride that ride!"
"this ride is currently closed"--Intamins logo ;)
Funny you should mention if anyone actually walked past and said "hey lets ride that ride!"...
Last season at KI Jason Hammond and I witnessed 2 girls when leaving Top Deck Flight Gun's exit, get sooo excited when they saw no line they jumped the fences to wait in line for......
SOB!
Wonder if they're still there?? ;)

It's all about getting around the barrels, or over the fences, right leads, no faults, fastest time and looking pretty when done. What's so hard about that?
If this adds in at all, the last time I was at the park was September 25, 2010, and I was in line for Chaos, and it broke down. The mechanic came and looked at if for a minute, and then sent it for a test run. Afterward, they let a load on. After they unloaded, the three operators kept running around the ride, and looking at each little car. Then they closed the queue and called the mechanic again. Then I left to ride Gemini, Magnum, and Maverick, and came back to find that no one was around Chaos, and all the lights on the wheel were off, but the background lights were on. Was this maybe one of the last days it has operated?
I wouldn't be surprised either way. With Ocean Motion already anoounced to be leaving I wouldn't think they would want to remove 2 rides in a season. But they did remove 4 for the 1985 season when Tiki Twirl, Bayern Kurve, Rotor and Earthquake all left the park. So who knows.
But I do think the ride wont be there much longer. Maybe a couple of more seasons.
I think it has more to do with the location of the rides than anything. That part of the park is what needs the most help at CP besides the obvious (theming repairs/improvements), but lets get real: Cedar Fair just doesn't pay for much of any theming repairs or improvements.
