Cedars

I heard Cedars opened tonight (May 21). I'm still not sure about moving over there. Commons is insane, and not in the good way, but it seems like it would be very isolated from everyone living at Cedars.

So now that some people have moved in this year. How are they?

i have been over here for a couple day nows and havent had any problems other then the BURNING HOT water in the shower. Its steaming coming out of the shower head and you arent able to adjust the water temp, just turn the water on and off. Other then that, I havent had any problems here yet. Its so nice to be able to walk to work instead of taking the bus or driving over.

34 years after I first lived in the Cedars and the discussion has never changed! Yes, I listened to Nixon's resignation speech in the Cedars' TV lounge!

go to the back showers against the wall, those are adjustable water showers :) I like cedars except the hot, I am deffinatly doing the extra pay and getting me a window unit

I have no idea how i didn't see that. Maybe i will be able to start showering without getting burned. TY so much

Cedars showers...shudder. I'll never forget the stray old man that walked in and peeked at everyone in the showers. I find it hard to believe that building is safe to live in.

What dorm was that giant spider in? Does anyone have a picture of it? I remember seeing a picture of it in a previous thread but I can't find that thread.

it was probably an infamous wolf spider that is known to crawl about Cedars.

Just think....more than horned up lonely people are watching you shower!! That spider is waiting in his web, ..probably laughing. :)

For those looking for internet, you have another option if you have a car. About a 2 minute drive from the dorms is the Sandusky Library. You should go there if you can. It's a really nice library and they have many computers for use and have a good connection. At least they did back in 04-05.

And for the guy saying are the comments about homosexuals in the bathrooms being unnecessary... I REALLY FREAKING WISH SOMEONE WOULD HAVE WARNED ME WHEN I WORKED THERE!!! Seriously, in the privacy of your own room is one thing... but no one wants to see that. And it really wouldn't matter if it was a bunch of straight guys and girls if you ask me... still go get a room. Yuck. It's like when you see people making out in public and it's gross... times a million.

For those going in 09:

What I would suggest, if you're processing in early. Make some friends. When the dorms open, get a room together. Trust me nothing is worse than being stuck with a bunch of disrespectful idiots that are going to treat you/your stuff like crap because you are assigned to a room.

just don't shower in Cedars...
