I think it would be a great idea to put in a mauer shone x-coaster music beacuse they are thriling, can fit 12 per train, and the height requirement is 50 so younger kids can go on to.
I would actually agree with you to some extent. Maurer Sohne have amazing designs and they are great rides. I think a Maurer Sohne X train coaster would be a great ride for the park because: it is a floor-less ride, X trains are high capacity at 36 passengers, and something unique is really needed on the beach side. No music though!

OK, how many lame and annoying posts does this person have to make before he gets banned?
He has an opinion and I respect that no matter how stupid it is. Tell him your own reason why you don't want to see Maurer Sohne. Its okay to be a douche, but if you are going to be one, just give him your own opinion to go with it.

The new Maurer Sohne at Universal is pretty boring outside of the inversion. I would really dislike to see Cedar Point invest in a Maurer Sohne coaster anytime soon.
^ Keep in mind Rip Ride Rockit (did I misspell that correctly?) has a huge number of block sections which break the ride up somewhat, and it was somewhat marketed to families due to it's "inversionless" layout. If an X-coaster was at CP then I'm pretty sure it would be a little more aggressive than RRR.
Come to think of it, I don't think I would really mind an X-Coaster at CP besides for the fact that Maurer Sohne had some serious problems with getting RRR to work for a little while. We don't want another Intamin for that very reason, so that is just something to think about.

I personally like RipRide Rockit better than Maverick. The line actually moves pretty fast and it would be amazing on the beach. Their half floored have floor-less design would be really fun and the ride could be the best capacity ride at the park if it were to run 4, 36 passenger trains. The only thing is about Maurer Sohne that is a turnoff is the price for some of their rides. They are about the same price as Intamin LSM's but they do provide a much better ride and are not afraid to use mid-course break runs. ;)

I'm still hoping and wishing for something similar to a cross hybrid between Sea World's "Manta" and Universal's "Revenge of the Mummy"- located at the front of the park near the former Demon Drop/picnic shelterhouse area.
Take this for what its worth, but the word going around the 1st rider auction for STR was that next years auction will have 60 winners.
Ok, I hope this hasn't already been posted... But, I was checking out the webcams today and in particular, the Dragster Cam. If you check out the parking lot, there is a very large square area near where the Demon Drop was that is completely empty. Here is a picture of what it should be like:

Any thoughts?? Possible sight for a new addition??
Yes, it has been posted already. If you go back and read the first 17 pages of this thread, you will see quite a variety of answers to your questions. :)

After riding Prowler this weekend which is just fantastic, Id love to see what CP could do with a GCI Twister woodie.
Cedar Point's new thrill ride for 2011 will be announced in mid-August.

Im all for and leaning towards a new GCI or Gravity Group coaster!!
Demon Drop has to be moved before the season starts!
Early ride announcement = early work getting started!
Trying to throw us off by saying not all thrill rides are coaters, never saying its not a coaster!
Time will tell and even though I am only guessing I hope im right!
Hmmmmm, all of a sudden, a Cyclone style woodie doesn't seem too far fetched. But I guess the whole "bringing back memories" clue could still relate to a lot of rides. :)
I still want more proof if it's a coaster......that is IF more substantial evidence pops up before the announcement.

Maybe Dorney is just shipping Demon Drop back to us.
Hey, it fits all the clues!
The path you tread is narrow, and the drop is sheer and very high.
This ride is going to take you back to 1894! New for 2011 -- Water Toboggan!
(Disclaimer: This photo is not of Cedar Point's Water Toboggan, however CP history shows that in both 1890 and 1894 these rides were erected at the Peninsula to celebrate little Dick Kinzel's 5th and 9th birthdays!)
