Cedar Point traffic nightmare!!

But, hey, Lake Erie/Sandusky Bay is too cold for sharks!

Oh, great, you had to bring mutant sharks living in Lake Erie into my worries... :-p

^I never knew they ferried to CP. That's great. Now if there's a place to stash the kayaks and take a trip to Kelley' s Island, we're in!

Back in the 70s when I worked at CP, we used the ferry all the time. Without a car, it was an easy way to head into town to go to the bank and whatever else we needed to do.

Whatever else we needed to do was the Jupiter dime store for cheap bathroom stuff and suntan lotion.
There was also a new, hip clothing store downtown. We'd go there and buy hip hugger bell bottoms and pointy collared satin shirts for date nights.
Sandusky Mall wasn't even built then, so for fancy dates we'd find someone with a car and drive way out Milan Rd to the nicest place in town- the Girves Brown Derby at the Ramada! Surf and turf!

Ah.....

I haven't heard the name Brown Derby in years. We used to go there every Monday night for their Monday specials. It was the best place in the area. And I agree, they had the best surf and turf. Thanks for the reminder RCMAC.

No Sandusky Mall? How did you you survive? :-p

For the longest time, family trips to Cedar Point included a visit to Sandusky Mall and dinner at Sbarro Pizza. (And, for the short time it was open, the Cedar Point Gifts shop in the mall.)

There is still a Brown Derby not far from where I live. Updated interior but much the same food. Some nice bar specials too.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

There is a Brown Derby in Middleburg Hts on Bagley. Tuesday's they have a T-Bone steak special.

And +1 for a tramway across the bay!
