Here's the issue, Siouxsie. The tirade that you call "venting" is something that someone who isn't accustomed to going to one of the most popular amusement parks in the world on a weekend in July would do.
But it sounds like you go pretty damned often. The self-entitlement displayed in your hissy fit and subsequent posts defending your behavior doesn't make me pity you any more or less. It just makes me think more and more that I'm really glad I chose not to go to one of the most popular amusement parks in the world on a weekend in the middle of July.
A lot of the group here have tried reasoning that maybe instead of berating an hourly worker for trying to do their job, then coming on a forum to rant and rave about it where none of us can actually do anything about it, you could have maybe just left it at leaving a message with the park (who can actually enact change) complaining about anything you wanted to complain about.
All I'm saying is sometimes you just have to roll with the punches. Getting out of the park sucked that day. I get it. We all get it. We've all been there, I'm pretty positive of that. But coming to a forum full of fans (many of whom have also worked at the park for minimum wage in the heat and rain) and basically denigrating the hard-working hourly, seasonal employees of the park that we're rather fond of as well as further attacking us for trying to make sense of said denigration, isn't going to get you anywhere.
Just my $.02.

I read "self-entitlement" and "hissy fit" and stopped there because you are doing exactly what I said in my last response, continuing with the name calling and nastiness, and being generally hypocritical.
Yup, because calling us all "knife-wielding bullies" isn't name-calling at all.
If you don't want constructive criticism, fine. But just don't be surprised that people trying to make sense of your tirade are a little confused when there are other people on this forum who were there trying to get out at the same exact time and made lemonade out of lemons instead of squashing the lemons and saying "Go to hell!"

Maybe YOU have the ADHD you mentioned earlier? LOL! I think you have been one of the most hypocritical people I have ever come across here. But hey, you got to yell at a worker. Hope that made you feel better.

Speaking of being hypocritical, it was you who started the name calling in your very first post. So don't act all surprised when the tone that you set continues back at you, especially after you've continued to hurl insults and name calling at others.
Hey you stupid morons, stop calling me names!!!
And then you try and use the tragedy at the Ohio State Fair as fire cover? Just... wow, man.

Did you really just say "na uh, you started it". I literally LOL'd.
I left the CPS parking lot at the same time...of course I was smart enough to use the do not exit entrance near the front of the lot to get onto Perimeter Road. The great thing was, I actually had someone in the car with me whose company I actually enjoy and better yet, we got to drive slowly by Mean Streak and notice a lot more of what was going on. And once past it, we talked about how extremely cool it was going to be when it opens.
I was able to enjoy myself, because I'm not a miserable person like some appear to be.

People are just too impatient these days. I was looking for an address yesterday and slowed down a bit, some a-hole found that too inconvenient and passed going over the double yellow line while shouting obscenities out the window. How dare I waste five seconds of his day. There is a distinct lacking of common decency and respect for others these days.
This sort of thing happens WAY too much.
Enjoying the Ohio park on the shores of beautiful Lake Erie since the mid-1970s!
Apparently, some people have never gone to a sold out event and had to deal with exiting a parking garage.
Right? For any event I've been to, if you insist on leaving at the "wrong" time, you spend a half hour waddling through a massive herd as you make your way to your car, then another hour or so getting to the freeway (or whatever).
And that doesn't even include the time spent devoted to rudely harassing anyone within earshot! ;-)

FYI, the person who was with me did submit a message to CP the evening we got home. He got a lengthy response apologizing and vowing to have discussions with all departments mentioned. AND the man who responded condemned the reaction of the Guest Services attendant, stating she should have made an effort to try to provide some sort of resolution (I'm not sure if he was meaning a free stuffed animal or what).
I'm sorry, what part of that "confirms" that traffic control not knowing how to do their jobs caused CP to not empty the entire Soak City lot at once--in a storm? Looks to me like they de-escalated well.
This Isn't A Hospital--It's An Insane Asylum!
As I've been thinking about this a little bit, I wonder if Cedar Point had never really thought through what to do if a lot of people all want to leave the back of the park at the same time in the middle of the day. They have had this issue before at the end of the day, on the 4th or Halloweekends Saturdays, but I wonder if that could have been the biggest mid-day exit they have ever seen from the back of the park? I haven't payed too much attention in past years, but this year, it seems that the Soak City lot has been completely full on Sundays. With the water park expansion, there are a lot more people parked there. Couple that with the (I think) new PA announcement that there is an approaching thunderstorm. Now, there is the largest mid-day exit from the back of the park.
I have ADHD and am not on medication but have read every post all the way through...I think I deserve a cookie.
OK, I've gotta ask... are you, Siouxie, the one who FB messaged PointBuzz asking for someone to direct traffic? Because that would be great.
Otherwise, I'm trying to make an "...And The Banshees" joke, but nothing is quite fitting.

So, in other words what you are saying is you want to bully me into submission?
Disagreeing does not equal bullying into submission. You say you've been lurking here. If that's true, you know how discussions can go.
If you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen.
I'm really not concerned what any of you defenders in your denial claim to believe, two of us were there.
None of us were there, so we're left to take the word of someone who comes across as angry, entitled, and hurls insults when presented with posts not praising the OP. Maybe you waited two hours. Maybe two hours makes for a better story.
...the silly nonsense that you hostile and hateful bunch care to extol.
And yet, you're still here....
So either the person in Guest Services didn't in fact say what she clearly said ...
Considering the source, I'd say yes. She did not in fact say that.
Shouldn't you be doing something more productive in your boring lives....
And yet, you're still here. Pot, meet kettle.
I'm a Marxist, of the Groucho sort.
