"Cedar Point is building for the future!"

We can rule out a CCI woodie now. CCI has gone out of business.

I found out what it will be. Should i tell umm let me think. Oh well. Cedar Point will be building the worlds smallest treehouses and the worlds fastest flying mechanical pig.

Robert, to answer your question I think Sundays have the lowest crowd. I rode every coaster twice when i went on a Sunday. Hope this answers your question.

400+ft by 2003? only Cedar Point can answer.

Robert said: I ve got a question?! Anybody get the idea to call the Sandusky dpw or city hall to see if they even have a issued building permit and for what it would be?

Good idea. Sorry, i don't live around there. Someone else try please?

For all you who havn't seen a picture yet, here:http://www.thepointol.com/openingday/6.jpg

That was posted by Jason H in the "Coaster for 2003" topic. I think it looks like a coaster, or really really big lamp posts.

Coasters? i thought those were those things you put under drinks? ...am I on the wrong site?

And do you notice that there appears to be a direction to the footers? To the island of course. Not to rehash the obvious, but whatever it may be, it will go toward the island.

Look at the link in the past post and then look at this one again more closely.

Hello again GTTP crew... I know the last time I posted I was one of the strongest advocates of the S&S TA2K theory, but things have changed. Today I paid a visit with GTTPer ST_Kara to CP's sister park, Knotts Berry Farm, and took a few rides on Xcelerator, which by the way, is amazing. Anyway, we were not really planning on doing any investigating since I really didn't think anyone at Knotts would have anything to tell us... However, things quickly changed. As we were strapping in for our first ride, we got into a discussion with the ride op about where we were from, and how excited we were about the ride... Completely out of the blue, she started talking about how Cedar Point will be getting a ride just like it next year! We couldn't believe our ears... Before we could get any more out of her, it was time to dispatch... End of story? No. After our first ride, we (of course) decided to hop back into line for a second ride, but found that the ride was temporarily down. While we were waiting and watching them shoot test runs, we again got into a conversation with an employee, who by the looks of him, was "a higher upper". Again, without any questioning or interogation, he began to tell us how "this park in Ohio, Cedar Point" will be getting one. He then continued to tell us that Cedar Point's will be over 400 ft, and faster than 100 mph. The way that we were told all of this almost made it seem like it had already been announced, and they were eager to talk about it... It was strange to say the least. Before we left, we also took a peek at the footers for the giant first hill support towers, and I have to say, they look very familiar. Here is a photo we took( http://community.webshots.com/photo/44248613/44248650EOaafG ). So, that seems like some pretty good evidence to me, and I encourage anyone visiting knotts to do some investigating of their own!

I'd Rather Be Riding Roller Coasters
Interesting, but it makes absolutely no sense.

I still don't understand why CP would big such a big ride after Wicked Twister, it is just not like them at all to do all of that capital improvement in such a short period of time.

CP needs to reclaim the title of most coasters in one park. Thats why they would build such a big ride after Wicked Twister.

Well its probably just rumors they heard and they said it like it was a fact, but doesn't mean its not going to happen, it sounds good I hope there right. And I think the two large footers would be for the back of the tower. Instead of building two large towers they would just build one large one saving money. The support would look like WT's support tower that holds the spike, only three times taller. The back footers will be the tallest and carry the most wait so there the deepest and need to be poured really early. The other two footers that would appear around 75 ft in front of the two would be as deep as the rest of the other footers so they can be dug and poured later in the season. The other footer could be electric for something or a light to light up the top hat, I don't know I haven't seen the footer. The two footers are 30 ft deep that’s deep enough to support something very large and tall, so I don't think they will be for a station. Theres my guess on how the two footers will be used.
It makes perfect sense. It will add a new kind of coaster, it will draw the crowds from far and wide, and will dwarf the competition's "measly" hyper over at SFWoA.

Jeff said, “no one will notice SF's new coaster compared to what's going down the road.” I think that’s a hint about CP's new ride. He could mean if they get a coaster it just has to be over 200ft and no one will notice SF's.Jeff said, “no one will notice SF's new coaster compared to what's going down the road.” I think that’s a hint about CP's new ride. Very interesting, FloridaCoasterRider - usually I try not to listen to "employee rumors" but there's something about this that just sounds right... as for why they would feel so free to talk about it - 95% of the people there probably don't even know where or what Cedar Point is.
