It seems to me that if Jeff made a completely new forum for "Area 51" it has to be something of substantial caliber...

Exactly what i was thinking...

Exactly what I said on page 14. Jeff sneaks around, and finds out stuff. DAMN! I wish I could do that! But Yes, there is definately something BIG! planned for next year!

Considering that SFWoA is installing a hyper next year, I'm not surprised how tight-lipped everyone is about the 2003 project. Some full-timers haven't even told their own families about this one.

But for some reason I still plan on being pleasently disapointed...

Well, I knew it was July or August because I found the awesome media kit in the mailbox when I got home from mountain biking. I knew it wasn't as early as June.

yup, it was july. right around the emmy nominations were announced...don't know why I remember that, but i do...so, if it is something huge (and that's a big if), its possible to see a big announcement in about three weeks.

You know, I am thinking back to the early to mid-90's here and I seem to recall a story about a kid (employee) who found out some information about a new ride and posted it on the internet. If my memory was correct, I believe he was fired.

I wish I knew more but I will have to think about it. My memory is going as I get older. I will ask some old friends.

In any event, I knew one or two executives that liked to play games with seasonals...hinting in one direction that was completely false just to screw with them. I don't think Kinzel was real please with that and I am not sure it continues today.

Yes - it was 1995 and the leak was info on Banshee. A newspaper article is available on r.r-c along with the original post. What he posted was only a few days before the actual press release, though. When you get to that point, the whole world seems to know what's going to be announced. It wasn't like he was involved in the planning.

Not to be a smart a$$ but John Deere was a sponsor at one time (are they still?) and they have green equipment that they have showcased over near Gemini in the past. Could that have been what you saw?

No i dont think that that is it because it was like inside of the support structure

Watch come to find out were all geting all hyped up over a staff rom or something dinky like that
Thanks Gemini. I am glad I still have half a brain. My favorite part of that post is that the kid posted his full name and work location. Too funny!
Who told their whole name and adress?
Sorry stretch, he was an employee who used his first and last name and the ride he worked on. Look at Gemini's post under "original post."
lol...thats real smart!
Why would they build a big, loud, fast coaster right next to the following rides: Paddlewheel,Camp Snoopy and GCA?
To me it makes very little sense to build something like that neaxt to such tamer, less wild rides.

For the same reason they built millennium force right through the quiet and calm trail.
The millennium force isn't that loud...so if they could build something that has the quietness of the millennium force...there wouldn't be a really big issue with noise.

I believe that equipment inside the Gemini supports is used for their daily inspections of the ride.

Just because you can't justify charging $3 for a Pepsi doesn't mean you can't charge $3 for a Pepsi.

It would be nice to see a coaster just like Deja Vu. I think that that coaster is somewhere in California. Or a flying coaster or a floorless coaster would also be nice.
DELAY JA VU!!! You Have got to be kidding me. I have saw one of them valley (SFGAM) and one of them dispatching a train every 10 minutes (SFOG) I haven't been to Cali but I am sure the one at Magic Mountain will continue my curse as well. Anyway we definitly will not have a Giant Inverted Boomerang.

My vote goes for the worlds largest Floorless Cheese on a Stick stand.

BTW I have heard of this cheese on a stick stand from a VERY reliable source and they do not work at CP.
