I agree that it would be rather pointless to move it right now. It is in a great location.

Unless you start first thing in the morning.
Frankly, you'll only see a sprinkling of very small footers on the few park models he ever built (read: BGT Scorpion). Even that wouldn't be much of a project.

Actually, I just caught up now. Wasn't there some website or person that claimed/joked that when they moved Wildcat, the employees all picked it up at the same time and walked the coaster down to its neew location. :)
I think they will add something new there since the sign about the future. Maybe a coaster, but also it could be some type of flat ride. I mean Cedar Point has there pattern of getting something large every 2 years. Why break it? Attendance is pretty good, and getting better. Also, maybe it's a big(ger) flat ride, like something from S&S.
My 11 cents.

I was there today, and checked out the "clearing" everyone sees from the Power Tower cam.... from Iron Dragon, and Paddlewheel. It's the area where the old guy rides his bike with wings toward the Paddlwheel boat. The "truck" is a cherry picker next to the Iron Dragon track. There is nothing new back there, or on the Millennium Island. From the Magnum lifthill, the "area 51" looked like it was becomming over- grown with weeds during all the inactivity behind the wall. From the Gemini, you could see one big footer, but that was all. They announced Millennium Force in August, maybe they'll do the same here.........whatever it is, I'm sure it will be awesome. Very short lines today for being the Sunday before the 4th!!!!
while Deanne is right on almost everything that was posted, I'm afraid that MF was announced in July of 1999, not august. and yes, CP has been having some attendance problems, but overall has had an increase of 3% over last year thus far..

How is an increase a problem?

If you think that the powers that be would entrust ANY information (no matter how small or trite) to an employee who might just say something... well you gotta be kidding. If anything leaked out, there would be hell to pay and a witch hunt in progress to find the loose lipped fool. I'm not sure, but I'd guess that anyone who had even the slightest knowledge of the future project would have to sign a non disclosure contract. I also bet that these people who know are longtime trusted people who know how to keep their mouths closed. When Cp is ready to let the world know, be assured they won't leave any corner of the media out of the hullabaloo... just my .02
