You guys are a bunch of crybabies, get over it. ;) Sure this blows, but I'm not anymore mad at Cedar Point or Intamin for whatever the problem is (and neither should you). It's not like they were 100% certain that they KNEW with out a shadow of a doubt that something was going to come up. If they did then I'd have to rethink what dimension I'm in. :D
Like many have said (and so few actually listen) Intamin loves to over engineer things. And any complex system is always subject to the wonderful theory known as the chaos theory. I mean despite downtime, these coasters and rides PUSH forward the envelope of what can be done in this industry. The coaster world wouldn't be what we have today if someone didn't say "HEY I got an idea for a neat new coaster!". You're always going to take a risk with new rides, but that's a chance you have to take. It's life, nothing works perfectly. I for one applaud Intamin for their ingenuity cause they know that with one new rides problems, they can take steps to fix the problem for the models that follow.
And even if B&M has a good track record, it's only because their motto is "Don't fix and or advance what doesn't break!" ;)
As for fatalities, I don't know of any (and anyone can prove me otherwise) aside from injury/severe injury that were due to the engineering. The few deaths I know of were either park or operation faults.....not necessarily manufacturers. Heck you're more likely to get in a car crash on your way out of your drive way than get injured on a coaster. It's like what happened (and still happens) with 9/11. One terrible incident made a vast majority of Americans afraid to fly due to the fear of hijacking. You can't say that you decide to fly anyway only to have one of the engines fail or suck in a flock of birds!
Get over it or be a hermit for the rest of your life!

^^That was hard to read. Can you break it into paragraph's?
Nobodys really crying, but more bitching about intimin.
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Ok, stop expressing annoying manners towards said roller coaster manufacturer. Is that a better way to put it? ;)I know no ones actually "crying". It's just sarcastic wording....that's all.

I also thought that this probably wouldn't open in time. I guess I won't be riding it for my first ride on opening day.
I wonder if the F1 coaster will open on time? ;)
Let's Get Weird.
I can't wait to see the signs at all the entrances! I love those. :)
Hopefully there's test seats out front!! YAY!! Who's up for some crazy wacky pics of people in an empty STR seat with a sad or crazy expression?!!! :)
-Adam G- The OG Dragster nut
Dont count on me being there at that time. I'll be busy staring at Dragsters tower and asking an invisible person why it's not open. ;)

^Man, now I kinda wish I was going. We'd get some good group photos! With STR and the bare Demon Drop spot of course :)
Well....It is a intimin. :)

Har har.....look at my avatar cause that's the expression I'm giving to your post. ;)

You are joking, right? Anyone remember The Bat or Drachen Fire? How about X?
Drachen Fire was down for three years because Busch was unsure of the future of the ride. Maybe Bat and X but it turned out ok later in its service life. I love X2 and it has always been good when I was there.
Pepsi Refresh is saving one coaster at a time: http://pep.si/bTTsfc
And yet how much money has been put into it also causing a certain manufacturers bankruptcy? ;)
-Adam G- The OG Dragster nut
^Exactly. It was all downtime because of the manufacture and maybe some on part of the parks. I could probably name more Arrow/S&S failures or excessive downtime coasters if I really thought about it.
And...

Maybe Bat
Maybe? Uh, no. It WAS a failure on part of Arrow. No maybe about it.
The big differance is that in the hundreds of arrows or B&M's built, you are naming a handfull of rides. As far as the bat goes, it was the first of it's kind. All of the inverts built after that, have been more or less reliable.
With intimin, it's a lot more common.
