Cedar Point Announces New Water Ride for 2010 Season

Looks cool. From the looks of it, it's going to be a sure soaking head to toe.

This will have a great view of the construction and we can actually see what's going on unlike Kings Dominion's webcam...

Sweet. I haven't had an active desktop set up since maverick was being built. This is a great view. At some point, there will be some things we can't see. But, this will probably be one of the best views of a construction site we've ever had. Speaking of Webcams. They must have finally figured out what to do with the TTD cam. Because, it's been running pretty consistent this year. Just like the ride itself, it took a little time to work the kinks out. ;)

I like the location of the webcam! It will be a blast to watch CP's new addition under construction. It is on my desktop already!

It may be for the ride. But, that's been there for quite a while. You could see it from Millennium Force.

That webcam angle is great! Going to be pretty neat to see this ride go up. :)

This looks like its going to be an enjoyable ride. Place a cheese on stick stand nearby, invest in a turkey leg stand, give me some chips from the chippery; allow me to camp out in a teepee in frontier trail, I would be a happy camper. Just think if they allowed that, going to sleep under the lights of the Starlight experience after a nice refreshing dip on Shoot The rapids with a nice helping of freshly made chips mmm mmmm mmm. By the way anyone know where I can get Ketchup flavored chips in michigan?

There are several locations for you to get some. Bettermaid and uncle rays are both located in detroit. You can even have them shipped to your house.

I love the bettermaid red hot chips myself.

[url][url]There is at least one truck on site now. In the middle of the field. It kind of looks like there is one under Millennium on the right. What ever it is, it wasn't there yesterday. It's nice to have some construction to watch again. I love how parks evolve over the years.

It looks to me that they cut the weeds down on the island.

I'm not convinced those parts in the boneyard are for STR. Where would a spiral staircase be used in the ride?

Not sure. Maybe for one of the lifts.

I wonder what that large thing is next to the stairs?

Typically, the lifts would have stairs running parallel to them, because if the lift malfunctions, the riders have to be walked down somewhere. Circular stairs would not suffice, and are usually found on MCBR's (which STR doesn't have).
