I have no idea what you just said.

Ok...

"I" don't consider it "theaming", but I could see if someone else wanted to. If they did, it would be "loosley" based on theaming.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

What is so hard to understand what I said?

I dont consider it theaming. But some people may. If they did, it would be a stretch.

About as much a stretch as the "Batmobile" or Superman shaped steel wrapped around coaster track could be counted as "theming".

Decoration, sure, but not a theme to me anyway.

So that batmobile that people like to get there picture in front of is not theaming? It also pertains to the ride(hence the name batman). They have the whole superhero theme going on at six flags park....so yea, it has a lot to do with theaming.

I actualy forgot about the dragster at the exit of ttd. So that would be theaming. Much more so than a few facts about drag racing on a wall.

So under your term of theaming, the rides at Disney just have a bunch of "decorations" on them, and not theamed?

Word. And like I said, I could take pictures at Cedar Point and Kings Island that would compete with (and beat) about 70% of those pictures posted, as far as theming goes.

crazy horse's avatar

You probaly could at kings island, but that's not cedarfairs doing. The left over theaming was there from the days of paramount.

Give it a few years, I am sure what theaming is left at kings island will be romoved as soon as it requires any kind of maintnance.

By the way, it's *theming*. Not "theaming".

I thought it was a joke because he said using the term "loosely". :)

I feel that theming is something like Busch Gardens, SeaWorld and Disney. I never really consider many seasonal parks to have themeing, but a more general feel of attempt.

The definition of theming...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theming

Theming[url][url] is the "the use of an overarching theme, such as western, to create a holistic and integrated spatial organization of a consumer venue." being one of the largest scale applications of theming. Theming is applied to themed spaces which may include theme parks, restaurants, casinos, museums, airports, resorts and other spaces. Consumers sometimes theme their homes with specific themes and Internet spaces are also themed.Theming is widely applied in the events industry.

Cedar Fair's description of duties: Amusement park/resort operators.

Six Flag's description of duties: Theme park operators.

Just stating the fact that this is how they describe themselves, in the marketplace.

But that's why it exists Zach! ;)

OH and for the record I'm gonna reiterate that the waterbombs, lights and boom sound really have nothing to do with its "theme" so it shouldn't count as theming.
