Cedar Point 2013

Since this seems very similar to the TTD clue, I'm going to disagree since the leaked letter said the ride was 176 feet. 21 Stories is over 200 feet, so unless this coaster is a hyper, which I would love, I'm thinking:

0 - G roll
91 degree drop
97 second ride duration
7 inversions

and 2 keyholes - 21 meters (69 feet) above the front gate.

So, has anybody figured anything out definite about that clue? Or is it just all speculation?

LSM On the lift, like maverick.

Do you REALLY think B&M is going to have an LSM lift?

Instead of 97 mph, how about 97 kph which is about 60 mph.

It's all speculation, and if you read the recent blog report on All American Thrills, Walter Bolliger told Kent Bachmann (Herhsey) directly they (B&M) would never do a launch coaster.

I posted an article that just came out about b&m finally settling on a launch design of their own.

Nice - where's the article, I'd love to read it.

Yeah, B&M have been recently thinking about doing a launch coaster....but I doubt it'll be this project (or this year for that matter). So yes, B&M WOULD do a launch SSL488, however, not with this ride.

And of course it's speculation, we won't know for certain what these numbers mean until the announcement (if we even fit the numbers in then).

If they did ever do a launch coaster, I wouldn't think the Wing Rider would be the best design for it.

It could be. Remember Intamin has one Wing Coaster and it's launched.

Yeah, but Intamin is well... Intamin. I'm not saying Wing Riders in general are bad designs for launched coasters, just the B&M ones. B&M coasters are great, but in my opinion, they just aren't nearly as innovative as Intamin is with their coasters.

B&M just seems to be more 'cautious' with their coasters and would rather have them up and running on time. Intamin seems to want to have more high tech rides, but pays the price with a lot of mechanical problems.

So if B&M was to make a launch coaster, I wouldn't think they would try it out with a wing coaster

That's what I am wondering

Giga babi

Well then what's a babi? I'm assuming this is another false clue anyway.

It's a pig in Malay, Indonesian, and Kapampangan, if Wikipedia is to be believed.

^It also says that it is a baboon god in Egyptian mythology

So we can assume that the name of the coaster will be Giga-pig or Giga-baboon.

Done. Mystery solved... And they thought they could fool us!
