IIRC, the issue that passed only allows for 4 casinos. Any other casinos would have to be approved by additional legislation. The one exception being Cleveland. They built what was originally supposed to be a temporary casino in the old Higbee's building. That was to close after the new casino was built along the Cuyahoga River. My understanding is that now they convinced the state to let them keep the temp casino and look at the new one as "Phase 2" of the over all project.

The locations (and, as a by-product, the owners) were hard-coded into the state's constitution. Any guesses on who wrote the issue language? :)
I hope that green B&M track is for an invert at Kings Island.
My new vote for future development would be to make the coliseum into a dark ride. That ballroom is doing nothing and arcades are dead.

A Wing-Rider just seems like a better fit at KI than CP. I don't have a specific reason for thinking that. It just seems like it would complement Firehawk well
I was at the park yesterday, and i still dont see anything that makes me think a new coaster is coming next year inless there are doing inside dt that we can't see right now
^An entire project can be done without any signs till the fall. I wouldn't rule anything out.

Eat 'em up, Tigers, eat 'em up!
I believe markings started showing up for Leviathan around mid June and that's a pretty big sized coaster.
Enjoy the rest of your day at America's Rockin' Roller Coast! Ride On!
But to contrast, I was at KI in early 2008 and land was already cleared and (I believe if memory serves me right) some footers poured for Diamondback....

Does anybody think that track could be B&M Floorless track? That would be cool if Cedar Point were to get a Floorless.

Well, Raptor didn't even get land clearing until September 1993. And they had to move "midway" carousel and modify Turnpike cars. So I think a winged/wooden coaster is still highly possible.
You know, ever since they started as early as they did with Maverick has everyone started thinking that coasters can't be built over one winter anymore. I don't get it at all considering the amount that have been and still are built over the course of 6 months.

Yeah, I seriously doubt CP is just going to take an axe to one of the few historical pieces left on the park. Say what you will about the big band ballroom's lack of handicapped access or A/C, but ditching the main arcade and the ballroom, even for a good dark ride, isn't something CP needs to do to keep their theme. And just because you think arcades are dead doesn't mean they need to bury them.
I really, really want that track to be for not CP, just because frankly I'd rather have a wooden coaster at this point. I don't know how accurate the claim is that the previous management was meh on wooden coasters is, but for all we know a wooden coaster is just as much of an option as a B&M.
Still want that new CP Cyclone...
Nothing, and I mean nothing, would make me happier than to see Cedar Point resurrect the Cyclone. Some old fashioned signage, integrating the beach and the games area...probably just a pipe-dream, but without question that would be the next coaster I would add. Of course, I would be adding a new Pirate Ride before that. :)
