I also liked chaos over windseeker. but i like the windseeker when its 5-10 min wait, just to get a breeze on those hot days. is it a thrill, no, but i dont think it was an epic fail.

Plus look at the area it's at. It brought new life to an area that has remained rather bare.

Actually, the area in question looks a good bit more bare than it used to, if you take my meaning.

Perhaps "new attention" would be more suitable. I do realize that there was some "trimming". But they do seem to be good about planting new trees. Sure they may still be saplings, but ya gotta start somewhere. I mean, is the area necessarily worse than it was? New pavers, new planters, new plants, new entrance.......seems like a good investment in the future look of that area.....to me at least.

And I understand how you feel about the ride coaster23. I realize there are people who might have been let down by it's label as a "thrill ride". Yet I can speak on the contrary because myself, coworkers, family members and others seem to enjoy the ride but agree that it's not "TeH gR8tst tHinG EVah!12!1!!".

But my point would then be this. If it's enjoyable to at least some, then how does it suck? If it's similar to other rides that are enjoyed, then why is it not enjoyed? I see nothing that would otherwise dictate hate for it. I mean, take a spin to relax and take in the view......not to get on with the expectation of huge surges in dopamine and adrenaline.

I realize this is a 2012 thread, but while the topic of Windseeker is up, and people are talking about their ride experience, I thought I'd ask, has anyone had a dangerous experience on the ride? There was an issue at CW a few weeks ago that was actually televised, where the seats were coming too close to one another. Is this still happening at the Point? Or did they fix whatever the problem seemed to be?

I don't think anything has happened since that incident and CP's similar incident. And we might see the next modification to prevent this as exampled by the Windseeker at Knott's.

That is, of course, depending on how well this modification performs with the ride after a few months.

I hadn't seen that picture yet. I knew that was coming the first time I saw video of the ride in motion.

So I'm thinking this coaster coming to CW is going to be like...huge. The latest quote on the page says, "We have always loved breaking records. Congratulations, Wonderland!" -Richard L. Kinzel

If it's a giga, I think KBF should of gotten it. That would be the 3rd giga in the east. A giga at Knotts would be perfect to draw crowd away from magic mountain. And wonderland just got a great coaster in 2008.

Any idea what the tallest coaster in Canada is? Maybe that's the "record" Dick is talking about.

After checking out the CW page and seeing the monster like creature with red eyes, I really feel like this could be the "stratosaur" from last years page. Can I also say that I am feeling a bit of jealousy over theie announcement page and the pages of photos etc. Kind of like not getting that present you were hoping for at Christmas and watching your brother open a package with the gift you really wanted from 3 feet away.

No coaster will ever be too fast or too tall!

I agree with you. They have gotten 2 record breaking coasters (including the new one) since cedar point got maverick. But kinzel said there will be a huge announcement next year which would have to be a record breaking coaster. I feel were really going to get paid off from waiting so long for a new coaster. Hopefully a wing rider....

I feel the exact same way! But I hope you're right, Kyle2154, about it being the tallest in Canada. I would be totally fine with that. I guess my only issue is that if it's amazing, that still wouldn't convince my parents to take my sisters and I to Canada next summer (we don't have passports). Although I guess I could just go myself, but what 19 year-old kid wants to pay for his own vacation?

I don't think that the new coaster is a giga... The pictures from themepark review seem like a B&M

Soo the announcement for a possible coaster will be next year at coastermania?

ok a couple things... this Quote of Kinzel what exactly was said and when? I heard about it on here and at first it seemed like it was an announcement this year for next. thought it doesn't look like its going to happen.

on a different note I wanna see a coaster that's new and different. I thought i would share this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ShQBI36g1ck Probally not really possible but a cool idea.

I would like to see CP get this! looks simple but the POV REALLY gets me exited! very unique ride experience. cool coaster but I would hate to see CP get another coaster with such low Ridership they already have Wicked Twister. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bEOersA375g&NR=1

During the coastermania speech, kinzel said that. "Next year at this time (coastermania), we will have a big surprise for you guys."

Not sure if those were his exact words. But its close.
