Parking could get ugly. Last year I made the genious decision to come up for a Halloweekend Sat. It took an hour to drive into the lot and people had to park on grass - not in parking spaces.
The 1 hr line for the power tower was fun.
Not a fun day. No more Halloween Sat's for me unless I am there for the whole weekend and stay in my room Sat.
I'm going out to get some air.
mermaidsair, I completely agree with you that from a financial standpoint, a coaster is not needed at Wonderland. If you told any serious American enthusiast that it's normal to wait in line 3 hours for a Vekoma clone, I don't think they'd believe it. If I'm not mistaken, Wonderland is the busiest non-Disney owned park in North America, and thus, it makes a certain amount of sense that the park could afford another expensive addition so soon after Behemoth.Darien Lake seems to be a non-entity to most casual park visitors. I even hear a lot of people say they went camping at the park, or in the area, but only went to a concert, and didnt' visit the park. Have you noticed they've pulled The Ride of Steel from all of the commercial's here after that accident involving the man with no legs. That's probably not helping any either.
As far as being Landlocked, there is still the wooded area at the back of the waterpark available, and there's definitely room if they took out the Dolphin stadium. With the ACC, Roger's Centre and Molson Amphitheatre, they also don't REALLY need that huge Entertainment pavillion anymore. All they seem to use that for is Soap Opera Conventions and school bands. I'd suggest they take out White Water Canyon as well, but it's consistently a two hour wait so I can't see that happening.
Fav Coaster credits of 2012 season...
The Voyage, Leviathan, Wild Eagle, Thunderhead, The Legend, Flight of Fear
LOL my bad. I meant ride. It can get very difficult typing things on a phone ;)
But I too hate when rude is at cedar point.

I was recently at Soak City, at Bubbles sitting at the bar...
Kind of a random thought, but the last time I was there I was thinking Bubbles would be so much more attractive if the bar area were rotated about 90 degrees clockwise. If you did it right, you could open up a really awesome view of the beach and lake behind the bar. I'd like to see any update done to Soak City include this. :)
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun

Look further into the context next time before trying to pick apart one fragment of it.
Speaking of context... I wasn't even replying to you with that post.

Wow, now Canada's Wonderland is getting a giga!!! Toronto here I come!!! It seems like CF is really concentrating on their sister parks. I would be really suprised if CP gets anything for 2012 now.
Not "confirmed", but when you see labels marked "Giga" from Intamin in a product it seems pretty logical. :)
I think many people tend to have a strong emotional reaction when they perceive that Cedar Point is being "left out".
Dollywood, our own Canada's Wonderland, Hershey, Busch Gardens' Williamsburg, Magic Mountain (already done), Busch Tampa (already done)...all big parks that either just opened a brand new coaster or have plans for 2012.
Let's face it, when something "big" is coming (i.e., not Windseeker) to your park, it's exciting. When you feel like the only kid on the block without a new toy to open up, you get jealous.
That said, Cedar Point is like the kid that already has too many toys in the room. :)
Of course, some are ugly or don't really work right anymore and could use replaced.

But is there any chance at all that if one day they were to run out of room
Tempted to pull out my 1994 link. :)
OK, by popular demand ... link.
^^Don't forget Holiday World! :) I'm so excited for all the announcements this month.
Let's Get Weird.
If I were CW, I'm not sure if I would be excited or worried. I would certainly hope to get something more like MF and less like I-305.

Watch that mouth of yours Chuck... HAHA I think the new I305 is better than MF and many many many many other would agree with me. I sure do miss MF though. Can't wait til my September CP trip! Hopefully there will be tons of construction going on for CP new 2012 Intamin Woodie...
^ Canada's wonderland's new coaster is rumored to be called Raptor, and I found that there is a pro basketball team in Toronto called Toronto Raptors. : )
What exactly is a raptor? At CP its a bird. In Toronto its a dinosaur and isn't there some new wing rider called raptor that is some mythical creature?
I hope enthuesist spies are mistaken and "Raptor" turns out to be "Rapture". This would tie into 1012 quite nicely and I hate shared names, (and designs), between parks. I get why they do it but I would rather each park be a unique experience. Not to mention things get confusing in geek circles where I lurk.

So it would make sense to open a large attraction in 2013 so all of the attention is around your park. With the amount of parks opening attractions in 2012, I have to think the number will be much smaller in 2013.
