Cedar Point 2012

I think it's fairly safe to assume that Stratasoar was going to be the name for the StarFlyer, which was going to be just over 400 feet tall.

Promoter of fog.

I also think that it is safe to say that unless we see some good signs of construction , clearing, or a mass number of stakes, we won't see a roller coaster next year.

I know it might be incredibly disappointing to think about, but sometimes utilities and such are marked for... wait for it... utility work. Water and electric infrastructure doesn't just maintain itself. Sometimes you need to dig stuff up, add lines, improve stuff.

Wait, really? You mean the nanobots don't take care of that for us?

Jeff, that is crazy talk. Dick Kinzel doesn't know the first thing about preventative maintenance.

I was walking the Boardwalk today, and I looked close by SOAK CITY and saw a few red sprays and orange sprays too. I have seen few in the Park close by Thunder Canyon. What are the Orange, Green, and Red Sprays for?

My favorite "mystery markings" were scratched into the sand in an off-limits area not far from Sandcastle Suites. Saw them last Sunday while I was riding Magnum... :)

And was the message of said mystery markings unprintable in a family-oriented forum? (Just going out on a limb here.)

Only after the park closes, and only if she says yes.

It's getting to the point where if seagulls "leave their mark" on pavement, ridiculous speculation is generated. I sometimes think it was better before no internet, when future attraction planning was more of a surprise.

^I like how it is now. Before, there would be no forums like this one in which we can talk about things.

That's true. People actually met in small groups and spoke to one another in person. :) It was so weird back in the 80's and 90's.

^No way!! People would actually talk in person? That's crazy.

Wait a minute. Are you trying to tell me that you guys are real and not just voices in my head?

Everyone knows that the seagulls have no idea of what is going on at Cedar Point. However the lakegulls and baygulls know more than the lemon chill guy!!

Those "markings" in the sand were from me. Sorry, too many long island ice teas at Fridays.;)

I think that time is running out on a new coaster for next year. Place like Dollywood, Dorney, and now even Canada's Wonderland have large clearings and construction walls up. Dollywood has track and supports on site. Even though Cedar Point likes to wait till the last minute to build everything, they better hurry up. I don't like our chance for 2012 but instead 2013.
