^^^OH I love Fazolis!
If they put one in JR's place, I'll have dinner there every trip!:)

Why does everyone want fast food in the park? If I had a choice of what restaurant, it certainly would NOT be fast food.
I couldn't agree more.

Well, if it really is leaving the park, then I guess I'll have to forgo my plans of having a Smokehouse burger, cheese fries, and a root beer float regularly this summer. :(
As for what I would like to see replace it...I think if anything goes in it will have to be a retro (50s/60s/70s) themed place, since the Wicked Twister midway kind of has that classic feel to it; at least in my opinion. I really don't have a preference on the chain though, as long as it is a classic diner with good cheese fries, burgers, and floats/shakes (though I only get my shakes at CP from Coasters).

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
I dont like the thought of a fast food chain being introduced into the park. But Im not going to pout and throw a fit if one does end up.:)
My vote is still for Fazolis!!^_^

I am pretty sure we will not see a fast food chain. Does Geauga Lake still have a Subway?
If JR does leave, I doubt a chain will be put into that location. To save time I would think Cedar Point would just turn it into a theme restaurant with their own name. Id rather see Cedar Point restaurants then chains. At least inside the park that is. Outside the park I would like to see a chain or two move in. Something with a menu other then burgers like some of you have mentioned. How nice would it be to have a Mexican or Italian menu to pick from?
Especially the pizza and baked chicken parmesan, which I just ate about an hour and a half ago. :)
Actually, one thing I would like to see in the park is a Starbucks location. Early in the season or during Halloweekends nothing would be better than a white chocolate mocha or hot chocolate with a cinnamon chip scone to dip in it. :) I know Donut Time sells Starbucks coffee, but it isn't the full lineup like a Starbucks store.

My vote would go for a skyline chili. There is a skline in Monroe Michigan.
I had never heard of skyline chili untill I went to Kings island. Now it's one of my favorate places to eat. I even drove the 45 min trip to monroe to get some 4 way chili. :)
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Unfortunately for me, the closest one to me since I live in Akron is on Steels Corners Road In Stow. For some of you that live up in Toledo area, stow is near Cuyahoga Falls. I wouldn't mind seeing a Skyline Chili go in there. I know one place I mentioned on the last page would be a Steak-n-Shake. I'm not sure how far their chain stretches though and not sure If Cedar Point would sign with them. I would be happier with a Fazolis like I first said. It would be something different that Cedar Point doesn't have in the park. We should carry on a vote here for what should replace Johnny Rockets and see what everyone on Pointbuzz thinks.
Fazolis has good food, but by far its not the best Italian food out there. And I consider that fast food. A nice Italian place would be something I would like at the park. But I think it might be served better if it were outside the park. Has anyone ever heard of or ate at Buca di Beppo’s? ..(http://www.bucadibeppo.com/) They have amazing food. That is one place I could see Cedar Point going with. The closest one to Cedar Point right now is either Westlake or Strongsville. That is a place to check out if you like great Italian food.
As for Steak & Shake, it could fit into where JR is. Sort of the same theme. But I don’t think Cedar Point would go for it since there is one just 10 minutes away on Route 250. There are lots of options for chain/franchise restaurants that could go in at Cedar Point. There have only been about 5 actually mentioned here. Cedar Point could pull something out of the air with a place that is not even known around northern Ohio or Ohio in general. Kind of like they did with Famous Dave’s. Ohio is not exactly a huge market for Famous Dave’s. So Cedar Point might not go with the obvious.
I think if we did a vote on here like Shawn said, everyone would probably say they want fast food since that is the only thing most of these people have said. Think outside the box and don’t name a place that is already on 250.

^^ Stow isn't really all that far to go for Skyline. Just hop on Route 8, depending on where you live in Akron, shouldn't take more than 20 minutes to get there (except at rush hour).
My wife and I use to try to schedule airline flights through Cincinnati with a layover, just so we could get Skyline.

I've been to Buco di Beppos, and I really wasn't very impressed by it. CP already has an Italian restaurant in the Breakers anyway. I think a Mrs. Knotts Chicken might be a pretty good fit in the Johnny Rockets location, if it is really leaving. CP already has that brand, and the food is good from what I hear.

than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
Franchise agreements last for years. They're different businesses that Snyder has his hands in that have nothing to do with each other.

I have been to Dominic’s a few times and have never been impressed by the food. It is not the best Italian food for the price. I am surprised you did not like Buco di Beppos, I have never had a bad experience out of all the times I have been there. It has always been a great time. But it can happen though.
Buca di Beppo (how many different ways are you guys going to spell it?) is remarkably unimpressive, and I don't think there is a lot of value for the price. It's like the Disney pricing, in order to get the value, you need to get lots of it, by which time you've negated the value.

I see where your going and I agree with you, but you have to think of it this way. Someone might suggest one place (Buca di Beppo for example) but there's no guarantee everyone knows what it is.....I for one have never heard of Buca di Beppo.
If we have people throwing ideas for places, that not everybody knows and can relate to, then how's it going to work?
Cedar Point will pick whatever they feel will bring customers and make them happy, be it a fast food chain or something else.

I can't say I agree, Adam. I had never heard of Famous Daves before Cedar Point announced theirs...
If it's there, and the quality is good, and the price is fair, and there's good service, people will come, and they'll come back, whether they've heard about it before or not. In fact, I'd venture to say that it might be even more popular because it was different.
With that being said... I don't like Bucca di Beppo either... ;)

No, that's exactly what I'm saying. Cedar Point will pick whatever they feel will be successful, even if it is something different and something not everyone has heard of.
Unless they pick something that EVERYONE knows, then it's guaranteed that there'll be people who never heard of the place. I too never heard of Famous Daves before CP announced thiers.
