My question is, not sounding rude, don't mean it any way whatsoever. But why do you need to know the five year plan. I mean what are you doing now that involves the next five years. Secret twitter updates aimed at something five years from now or what.
Just curious is all, I'm interested in how CF is doing interactive multimedia marketing, it's amazing. To think early 2000's were packets sent out to local news media, press releases, etc. Now, a youtube POV and tweets do the same thing. It's amazing really.

I got emails today indicating the "entire campground" at Cedar Point is now Lighthouse Point, and no longer "Camper Village". Goodbye old circle. The correspondence was to change all my confirmation numbers on the year's reservations.

There is nothing official on the Cedar Point website about the new cabins. However, they now offer Deluxe Cabins and they can be booked online. They seem like they are available later in May.
This information below is taken from the Cedar Point Resort Reservation page when you go to make your reservation:
Deluxe Cabin is non-smoking and can accommodate up to a 10 guests. The Deluxe Cabin offers a Queen bed in the bedroom, two futon sofas in the living room, 2 Queen Beds in an overhead loft (loft is 48 high) and 2 full bathrooms. The Deluxe Cabin also includes 4 flat panel TV's, complimentary WiFi access, dorm-size refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, outdoor charcoal grill and picnic table. Housekeeping service is not provided; however, a towel exchange and trash removal is provided.
There still has not been any official announcement from the park on whats going into the old Circle B, but the circumstantial evidence is overwhelming. I was expecting an announcement at the Winter Chill Out.

very sad to see the electric only circle getting replaced with cabins that go for $250 plus a night. they keep making it harder for a family to go and stay the night. ever since Dick retired its has gone downhill. park is dirtier rates go up and up.
This is the first time that I have ever read that since Dick retired the park has gone down hill.
It's dirtier and less family friendly?
My wife and kids and I must be going to a different Cedar Point.
In fact, with these new cabins, I'm actually pondering our first on-site stay in years, which is something we typically never do.
Oh well. Different strokes...
Promoter of fog.
I think the park has been improved slightly over Kenzel's last few seasons. I understand prices are increasing but this is something that is happening industry wide. The park is a business after all and they are doing things to increase profits and the fact that there are no ethical issues in doing so is enough to make me happy.
So, are they dropping the name Camper Village and incorporating the remaining RVsites as part of Lighthouse Point?
Hmm is that a water coaster that replaced Splash Zone in those renderings? I shouldn't have mentioned anything ;)
I see they are using this as an opportunity to fix the flooding problem :)
It's kind of sad though, this pretty much eliminates us as potential campers since there will be so few camping sites available and we won't be able to make a reservation a couple weeks in advance, more like months in advance.

I am curious as to why the new cabins would cause you to think about staying on-site. What do they offer that the cabins/cottages that are currently there do not (besides likely much higher rates!)?
One plus to this sad situation, there will now be free Wifi for all of "camper village" (now Lighthouse Point).
That's a big deal for us, as now the wife can "work from home" from the RV at Cedar Point!
