What, you like that better than the vinyl circus tents? :)

It's great to see a bit more character in the new additions. I like how the Lakeside Pavilion echoes the colors and little copper spires of the the refurbished Breakers.

2 things about that picture.....1.) Those pavilions are super nice. 2.) I know its just from the camera angle/lens, but it looks like Windseeker is going the way of Space Spiral.

Well, it is the Register, but I'm surprised a newspaper would use a camera with that much lens distortion. It looks like they just used a cheap point and shoot. There is some post processing they could have done in Photoshop, but I guess it is too much trouble for them (if they even have the program).

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,

All that's missing is a bunch of people doing this.

Breakers is looking mighty good today on the webcam! They've really done an amazing job. Soon we'll be able to see the finished product up-close. Can't wait!

"Thank the Phoenicians!"

The beach is looking great with all the umbrellas and such! I wonder if they will finally get rid of those silly lane lines now??

Just checked into our room at Breakers... Wow is this place different, the entrance and lobby look great, the new lounge has an incredible view. Initial impression is that they did a great job on this project, looks way better in person than on the webcams I have been checking all winter!

I want pics!:)

Any pics I took do NOT do it justice. You have to see for yourself. Absolutely beautiful!

So, those who saw the newly renovated Hotel Breakers, what did you think? My opinion is that it is absolutely spectacular! The mix of contemporary and classic is exactly what I imagine Cedar Point to look like.

I don't know if this has been talked about, but did anybody notice the Beach Shack on the boardwalk outside of the rotunda? IIRC, (and I might be wrong), but this building used to be a place to get towels for the beach or something like that. I wonder what the plans are for it now, or if they are going to continue using it for the same thing?

Hotel lobby was gorgeous and felt air conditioned finally. The 2 horses inside were very neat. One of the first noticeable differences was the relocation and expansion of the front desk area. We checked out the firepits outside with the carousel horses on the tops of them. Very nice touch. Saw the Starbucks inside the hotel but didn't go inside. The inside Rotunda looked awesome. The rain certainly put a damper on things in the evening, felt bad for the kids that were supposed to have their prom @ 7:30 by the newly built Lakeside Pavilion. BTW, that new structure is simply magnificent and the fountain with the 3 little Woodstocks was a nice added feature.

During the rain tonight, I checked out Breakers. The hotel looks great and more like a resort. Long overdue.

How late is the new bar/lounge open?

I asked one of the bartenders how late they were open until on Fridag, and they said midnight. But then they told us that they are trying to get their manager to have them stay open longer, especially if it's busy.

So where is this fitness center at?

By the Breakers East lobby.

Run in the sand, along the beach?

Anyone got pics of the rotunda rooms?
