KI's big refill cups are 10 bucks with 1.99 refills. Really not a bad deal if you use it a lot, still high though if you consider that a fountain drink costs them like 5-10 cents apiece.

They honor cups from previous seasons?

The reason I don't like the cups, is because I have to carry the damn thing around with me the whole day. Not to mention having to deal with it when going on rides.
Six flags has a great deal on the cups. If you buy one for $12, you get free unlimited refills for the whole day. It's a great deal, but once again you have to carry it around all day.

Yeah and they usually don't have handles on them, lol. I can carry the KI Haunt one in my cargo pants leg pocket, but it looks pretty ridiculous.

I did see people buying the 32oz drink when were getting fries, at the place next to Raptors loop. Even bigger rip off when seeing what Disney is charging for the same 32oz.

I think it is from 2004. Its a long blue cup with a dragster car on the side of it. It looks pretty sweet. :)
Let's Get Weird.
I saw the 5.99 fountain drink price at Panda Express yesterday. Sure didn't see many people buying it though. There were more cups being given out for water than anything.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
Last week I said here that I hadn't seen any $5.99 prices for pop. I said I'd have a closer look this past weekend. Yup, it's $5.99 for a 32 oz. for sure. That is absolutely uncalled for and unreasonable. Whoever came up with that idea and however approved it should really be ashamed of themselves. How does that add value to the guest experience? They need lower it back to the already too expensive price or lower to start 2011.
Anybody that paid that price is crazy and they are just encouraging CP to keep the price up there.
Who decides/ sets the prices for soda?

Probably Kinzel and the other management that loves to look at per cap dollars roll on in? I have to say that these prices are getting out of hand. I was talking about Cedar Point the other day, and I got the response of "I went there this summer, it was rip off" Value is in the eye of the consumer, and I don't think the consumer sees it or will ever see it with a 5 dollar price tag.

It's funny how when this forum was started on May 19, 2010 the price was $4.49. Now just five short months later we're at $5.99. I have to wonder what Saturdays will be like in Halloweekends 2011. Will the people who went this year and were only able to ride 4 rides in 12 hours and were gouged with food and beverage prices be rushing back next season?
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
I filled out a food survey from Midway Market a few months ago and John Hildebrandt's name was on it.
I attached a separate sheet mentioning my concerns about CP food pricing and the shrinking water cups. My comments on MM were generally favorable. I told him MM was the best value in the park compared to the overpriced concession stands.
I sent an email to the park yesterday expressing my dissatisfaction with my resorts experience this past weekend. $228/ night for a cabin that has a fridge full of dirty water and a couple of burnt out light bulbs. I really enjoy staying at Lighthouse Point for the atmosphere and location, but the prices are getting pretty hard to justify.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
I agree with you on the cabins. My family used to spend two weekends every year in their cabins. Loved it. But we have not stayed there for a few years because the cost got too high for us to justify. Do we miss it - you bet, but we got over it because of the amount of money we are saving.
The K.O.A campground has some nice cabins and rental rv's for a LOT less than lighthouse point. Plus it's only a mile from the park.

And doesn't the KOA campground also have that "loud-as-hell train every hour" feature as well?
Brandon
I usually just suck it up and stay at Rodeway Inn. It was only around $45 the last two times and one was a King bed and the other was two doubles.
That said, it looks like Cedar Fair had a pretty awesome 3rd quarter (July - September) and has had a solid first nine months. So I'm still not a believer that the high pop prices, high rates for cabins, etc. are going to cause Cedar Fair to go out of business.

I've never noticed. But I sleep like a rock (especially after a few rounds).
Goodbye MrScott
John
It has in the past.
We stayed there a few weeks ago, and never heard the train blowing it's horn once.
