Any word or thought on a ride for 2006???

Pieces are often delivered in covered carriers, so almost any 18-wheeler *COULD* be holding something for all we know. It only becomes apparent when they pop it open and start lifting track, cars, supports or other parts out of it with a crane.

I have heard of flatbeds coming in with only tarps covering some pieces, which obviously stand out a little bit more.

Yeah. From what I hear the maXair sign was seeing crusing down route 2 out in the open. I seen something a few years back that look liked it could have been for MF but was more than likely just a street sign support and nothing more.

Good job with the maps guys. It looks like it could be near or in the place of WWL. Interesting, very interesting. I wonder if they think we are obviolous or they know and are just screwing with us now.

Hey I'm just wondering. Has anyone ever seen of truck with roller coaster parts before? I'm talking now and years back.

Not really CP related, but, in the summer of '04, we were driving to Florida for our vacation. Along the way I saw 3 trucks, each that had about 2-3 pieces of track on them. Little did I know at the time they were heading to Busch Gardens Tampa and would become SheiKra. *** Edited 9/19/2005 11:52:12 PM UTC by DBCP*** *** Edited 9/19/2005 11:52:52 PM UTC by DBCP***

I seem to recall a Mr. Bean seeing track on a truck. :)

Jason I have something I want to mention. I noticed that there are a few markings and stakes that say SB on them which believes me to believe that whatever the ride is that the ride will be named with those initials.

WWL going, S&S package, Town Hall Museum and the bathrooms going.........a bit much don't you think?

That Mike sure is sure of himself though. Can he be trusted...or is he Scream Scape Jr.?

Shawn, typically surveyors will use abbreviations on their stakes. Although, I’m not quit sure what SB-5 stands for, I know it’s not the initials of the name of what will be built there. If I were to guess from my little experience, I would say that SB-5 may stand for Set back 5 feet.

He's just guessing like everyone else. And, just like everyone else, he may be right on some things, wrong on others, hit the nail on the head, or be completely off. Only time will tell how well anyone's hunch is.

The only difference here is that his guess is in article form, as opposed to being part of a 1,300 post thread. :) That, by itself, shouldn't necessarily give extra credence to an argument.

I think with all the rumors of WWL going, it more then likely will be gone, but it could still be around next year just as much as Demon Drop couild be around next year. Unless Cedar Fair Does in-fact purchase Six Flags Astroland in Texas, there is a good chance those rides will go down there to help the park out. I think if WWL goes, you'll probably see a water coaster go in its place or a more modern today water ride, and something with more theming.

I'd have to agree with that about WWL. It would actually be a welcome change to see a new water ride (coaster?) back there. WWL is a little outdated both in ride experience and theming, so something new could really help out the area as far as family-friendly attractions are concerned.

Brandon

Please don't ask cedar point to try theming something again. Last time they tried that, it failed miserably. WWL is themed just fine as far as I'm concerned. I actually like the ride too (when its operating at capacity)

The last thing they themed was TTD. Anyway I think that signs lately are pointing to a water coaster. But the markings on Mellinuim Island are still suspiecous.

The name of the new ride is G Force.

This was seen near a church in Sandusky.

Today there is something large and long sitting in the Soak City lot near Splash Zone. What ever it is, it's covered up with a blue tarp and has queue rails all around it. Its about 20 to 25 feet long, about 8 feet wide. What ever is under there, has curved ends. Could be something, or could just be a new sign for Midway Market. Who knows?

When we were there the weekend of 9/16,17,18, my kids got stuck on the Demon Drop. While they were lying on their backs waiting for the crew to get them unstuck, one of the ride operators came over to chat with them. When they asked about the ride being sold, he told them there was a restaurant going in. He also said that word was another water ride was coming, but did not elaborate.

Could WWL be modfied to be a water coaster? I mean at the second lift you could add the coaster part by taking out the the second lift hill, drop and those turns on the way to the drop. After that they could make a new chain lift that is higher then the belt lift that they have now. After the lift they could have small hills, drops and helixs. Then they could have a bigger drop and have the boats splash down in the same place it does now. But now that I think that CP would take out WWL and then put a water coaster in.
